You drove Bradley's Bronco back to his house, dragged yourself back inside, and climbed back in bed. You cried so hard when you watched him carry his duffle bag into the airport, you had painful hiccups for twenty minutes afterwards. Now you were emotionally drained and on the cusp of a headache, and this was only the first day.
With your cheek on Bradley's pillow, you pulled the covers over your head and took a few deep breaths. He didn't know much about his deployment, but the communication blackout was designed to keep you from learning anything. If something happened to him, it might be weeks before you heard about it. Your heart ached as you thought about how lonely he was going to feel after he made it a point to tell you how much he loved getting mail from your class last time.
You felt your phone vibrate in your pocket, and you scrambled to get it out.
About to take off. I love you, Gorgeous. I'll let you know when I land.
Well, you had about six hours to kill until you would hear from him again, which felt bad enough. Then seven full weeks after that. You typed back to him with fresh tears in your eyes, and then you tried to sleep, but the hiccups came back. When you moved to the couch, it felt too cold. You were tempted to call Natasha, but if you couldn't even make it a handful of hours without Bradley, you didn't think she would be able to help you.
It would start to get better. It would have to. When your winter break ended, you'd be back in your classroom with your students. You could dive into your lesson plans for the new year. You could focus on teaching. You could do this. Because if you found out the hard way that you couldn't, then you had no business being with Bradley.
--------------------------
Bradley was given a tiny room in the barracks on base in Norfolk, and he spent the entire night talking to you on the phone. Literally six hours straight before he passed out, sound asleep, hanging halfway off the bed with his phone connected to the charger. One of the last things he remembered you saying was, "As soon as you know if it's San Diego or Norfolk, let me know. I love you."
The following morning, he was so exhausted, he was practically dizzy as he met with his commanding officer, Admiral Walker, for this new special deployment. Even his arm felt heavy as he saluted Walker in his office. It was barely seven o'clock which equated to four in the morning in San Diego, and he knew it would take him a few days to get caught back up on sleep at this point. But every second of talking to you was worth it.
"Lieutenant Bradshaw. Welcome back to the Atlantic Fleet," Walker told him, gesturing to the empty chair in the office.
"Thank you, Sir," he replied, even though he was far less than thrilled to be back in Virginia at all. The prospect of a change of station could not have come at a worse time when he spent the flight from California looking at engagement rings on his phone.
As Bradley sat down, the older man said, "We never wanted to lose you to the Pacific in the first place, so I'm sure you can understand why you'll be staying on the east coast after your seven weeks on the Gerald R. Ford is complete."
His heart sank to his feet, and he felt like he was going to throw up. "Sir?" Bradley asked. "That's it? There's no chance of me returning to North Island?"
When the response he got was a raised eyebrow, Bradley pressed his lips into a line. This man wasn't going to give a shit that he owned a house in Coronado or that he was in love with the most beautiful woman in the world who happened to work in Mira Mesa. Something told him that keeping his mouth shut was the better option right now, even though he felt like punching a hole in the wall and flipping the desk.
Walker shuffled some papers on his desk. "Plans still need to be finalized, but it is our goal, and the goal of the US Navy, to change your station to Norfolk."
The words echoed in Bradley's mind. He couldn't decide if he should tell you about this yet. It wasn't like he had signed paperwork in his hand. Until he did, as far as he was concerned, he was going back to Top Gun and the love of his life. He knew you were stressed and concerned enough as it was, and he didn't want you to have to dwell on this unless it was finalized.
"Once aboard the carrier, mission details will become available to you and the other aviators," Walker informed him. "I have a folder with your bunk assignment and some more information that you can take with you right now. You'll have access to your phone for about another hour, but as soon as you report to the carrier, it will need to be shut down and locked up. Are we clear, Lieutenant?"
Before Bradley could even respond, there was a sharp knock at the door. Walker heaved a weary sigh as his gaze left Bradley's face, and he barked, "Come in."
Of all the faces he knew from North Island, Bradley wasn't exactly sure if it was a friendly one, but when the door opened, Admiral Simpson came strolling inside in his service khakis. He couldn't fathom why his meeting was being interrupted by Cyclone, but he sat quietly with the folder in his hands.
"Admiral Walker," Beau Cyclone greeted, voice as stern as ever. "You never returned my calls, and red eye flights the week of Christmas are not something I find endearing."
Walker stood behind his desk with all of his accolades hanging on the wall behind him, and Bradley jumped to his feet as well. "Admiral Simpson," Walker replied, voice dripping with disdain. "There was no need for you to fly out in person to release your pilot to my fleet."
Bradley could hear Cyclone's knuckles crack as he watched his eye twitch. He was somehow caught in the middle of this, but it looked like the Top Gun admiral was in no mood to be outmaneuvered and lose a member of his team. Bradley silently goaded him on while he stood there completely still.
"I'm not releasing anyone to you. That's not how this works," Cyclone barked. "If you can't manage your fleet, you don't get to poach from mine."
The admirals seemed to be in a competition to see whose face could get redder. "Admiral Simpson, I'm sure you'll find my rank alone is reason enough for-"
"You do not outrank me," Cyclone interrupted, voice loud but calm. Then he turned toward Bradley with his jaw clenched and said, "Lieutenant Bradshaw. You are dismissed. Please board the USS Gerald R. Ford on time for your deployment."
"Yes, Sir," he replied, saluting both men before walking back out into the hallway on slightly unsteady legs. He paused, hoping to hear some more of their conversation or an outright blow up that would give him a clue as to what the fuck was going on, but instead he walked the rest of the way to the barracks to collect his duffle and head to the docks.
With his phone in his hand once again and his bag slung over his shoulder, Bradley called you. He knew it was early and he'd be waking you up, but time was tight now. And your voice was the only thing that would keep him sane at the moment.
"Bradley," you sighed a second later, and he pressed his phone tighter to his ear.
"Baby, I miss you so much," he promised, heart aching. He swallowed hard and decided not to bring up anything that was going on since he didn't have a completely clear understanding of it himself. "I'm about to board the carrier."
He could hear you crying, and he wanted to kick himself. "Just come back safely. That's all I want. As long as you're safe, that's all that matters to me, okay?"
He was having a hard time keeping his own tears at bay. "Me, too. We'll figure out the rest of it later, Gorgeous. Take care of yourself. Write in the journal. And don't forget to check the mail."
"I love you, Bradley!"
"I love you so much."
As soon as he ended the call and turned off his phone, he had to walk through a small building for security screening. It was there that his bag and phone were taken from him. When he exited the other side, his duffle was handed back to him, but his phone was not.
"Sorry, Lieutenant," the petty officer told him with a shrug when he glared. "I'll tag it for you and return it when you get back to Norfolk. At least it's not a long deployment."
Bradley couldn't even argue with that. It wasn't that long in the grand scheme of things. He'd been overseas for a full twelve months at a time when he was younger. This should have felt like nothing, but he knew it would feel like the worst one. He hefted his bag higher on his shoulder and started to head for the bunk that would be his for the duration. There was no sense in standing on deck when there was nobody who would be looking for him to see him off.
He made it down two hallways before a loud voice echoed off the walls around him. "Lieutenant Bradshaw." When he turned, Admiral Simpson was heading his way, face so red it was almost purple. Bradley's heart sank.
"Yes, sir?"
The other man pulled his composure together, sighing like an angry bull. "While you will be under the command of Admiral Walker for this deployment, you will fly directly back to San Diego when you return to port in Norfolk. You'll be presented with the paperwork today."
Bradley's jaw dropped open. "I'm returning to the Pacific Fleet, Sir?"
He got one firm nod in response. "I told you last week that I would do what I could to retain you."
This was honestly the best case scenario, and Bradley could feel some of his tension melt away. "You weren't kidding," he mumbled before clearing his throat. "Thank you, Sir. Being in San Diego is important to me."
"Fly safely, Lieutenant. See you in seven weeks," Cyclone barked before turning on his heel and walking toward the ramp back down to the dock.
Bradley pumped his fist in the air. "Fuck, yeah," he whispered, spinning on the spot. He would get to go back to the station he preferred in North Island as well as his friends, but most importantly, he would get to return to you. There would be no stress of packing and moving and hoping you were still willing to come with him. He could stay in Coronado.
When he slid his hand into his pocket to get his phone out to call you back, he froze. "God damn it."
------------------------------
If waiting for emails and letters was bad before, this was torture. The early days of getting to know Bradley through written notes left you with constant butterflies in your tummy, but now it felt like you were walking around with a lead weight instead. You constantly caught yourself reaching for your phone to text him before setting it back down in frustration.
You hadn't heard from him since before he stepped onto the aircraft carrier, and that was four days ago. Today was New Year's Eve, and at least you had the wine bar with Natasha to look forward to. While you got dressed and ready to go, you couldn't help but put in just the bare minimum amount of effort. What was the point when your boyfriend wasn't even here to give you kisses along your neck and call you Gorgeous? You pouted at your reflection in the bathroom mirror and put the cap on your lip gloss before even using it.
"You look nice," Nat said as you climbed in the front seat of her car. You turned to look at her with one eyebrow raised.
"I'm wearing Bradley's old sweatshirt with a pair of leggings that are starting to get a hole in the crotch."
She started cackling as she pulled away from the curb. "Well, you still look nice."
"Thanks," you said softly, watching the houses go by.
As Nat turned toward the highway to head up to Oceanside, she asked, "How are you making out?"
You pressed your lips together for a few seconds, trying to make sure you weren't going to cry. "I'm just having a hard time being off from work while he's gone. It's... harder than I thought it would be. I can't wait to return to my classroom in a few days."
"I'm sure that will make it easier," she agreed. "You'll be so busy, time will start to fly by. Oh, I forgot to ask if you got any interesting mail at Bradley's house since he left?"
You shook your head. "I barely remember to check the mailbox most days. Why?"
"Don't worry about it," she replied smoothly. "You'll be back to work in a few days, but in the meantime, we've got merlot and chardonnay to keep your mind occupied."
"Sounds like you're talking about two hot French men," you said with a laugh.
"I could be! You don't even know!"
Now both of you were laughing. And you were still laughing when you actually did order a glass of merlot and a glass of chardonnay. You and Nat enjoyed some wine flights and cheese platters, and she regaled you with stories about Bradley from flight school.
"When he was twenty-two, he probably weighed a hundred and twenty pounds," she said with a smirk. "He was such a nerd, too. God, it was so bad." You were trying to stifle your laughter as she added, "Once he really started working out and grew the mustache, he thought he was hot shit. He's still a fucking nerd."
"He kind of is," you agreed through your giggles.
"But he's a good one," she promised. "Wears his heart on his sleeve too often, but I don't think he has to worry about you breaking it."
You ran your hand along the sleeve of his sweatshirt. "Never."
Once the two of you were filled with cheese and sober enough to get back in the car, you paid for your adventure with the gift card Bradley gave you, only to find out it had five hundred dollars on it.
"Natasha! We need to come back like four more times," you said as you signed the slip.
"I don't see any issue with that," she muttered, leaving cash for a tip. "I think I'll write Bradley an email and thank him for funding girls' day so he can read it when he gets back to Norfolk."
"I think he'd like that."
You started thinking about the journal sitting on the nightstand in his bedroom. Every night before you fell asleep, you'd been pouring your heart and thoughts out into the thing, but even the mention of the word Norfolk had you fretting again. You managed to keep up the conversation with Bradley's best friend as she drove you back to Coronado, but perhaps you should keep most of your things packed after you moved your stuff to his house. What if you had to move to Virginia when the school year ended?
"Thanks for driving," you told her when she pulled up to Bradley's driveway to let you out.
"Anytime," she said, waving you off. "We'll go back up again soon." When you leaned in to give her a hug, she told you, "Don't forget to check the mail."
"Okay."
You weren't sure exactly what her deal was since Bradley couldn't send you anything, but if she wanted you to, then you would. You already promised your boyfriend you'd keep an eye on anything unusual that arrived, so as you walked up to the front door, you took a peek inside the mailbox. Empty. Just like the house. You curled up on the couch with the journal and started to write your daily entry.
I heard from a very reliable source (Natasha) that you were and still are a nerd. I'm going to need to see some pre-stache photos of you when you get home. Your best friend is a wealth of information when you get some wine in her, and I had a great time with her today.
But I miss you. So much. Sometimes it knocks the breath out of my lungs. Your house is too cold and quiet without you here, hogging the couch and eating snacks. I'm looking forward to school starting up in a few days. It'll be a little less lonely when I have eighteen kids telling me what they got for holiday gifts. Of course I'll have to tell them they won't get a visit from their favorite aviator for a while. We'll just be nineteen sad pen pals.
---------------------------
On January second, you were working on your lesson plans while wearing Bradley's gym shorts and eating potato chips. Tomorrow you'd get back into a routine with work, but first you were going to allow yourself one last day of being kind of pitiful. You bit off more than you could chew with Bradley, and now you were paying the price.
You sporadically started crying at random times throughout the day, and it was only made worse by the overwhelming feeling of being alone. If you could barely make it a week without hearing from him, how were you going to make random deployments with no communication your lifestyle? Why did you even think you could?
While you were crunching your way through some potato chips, you heard something thump on the front porch. The sound made you jump on the couch, and you set your snack down on the table and crept to the front door. When you peeked outside, there was nobody there, but when you cracked the door open, you saw a box. A fairly large box. Addressed to you.
"Oh my god," you gasped. It was from Bradley. According to the date stamped next to your name, he somehow sent a box from the post office in San Diego last week. "Oh my god!"
You grabbed it and kicked the door shut, almost tripping on your way back to the coffee table. When you tried to claw at the tape, you almost broke your nails. "Scissors," you shouted, running for the kitchen drawer by the sink where your boyfriend kept a random assortment of junk. Then you walked quickly back to the couch and started to cut into the box.
Natasha had to be behind the arrival of the box, but you couldn't fathom what could possibly be inside. If Bradley wanted you to have something, he could have simply given it to you before he left. Your heart was pounding as you set the scissors down and looked inside.
"Bradley," you gasped, tears filling your eyes as those familiar butterflies zoomed and swooped around in your belly. You'd been so upset about missing out on his letters, he sent you a whole box of them. There were dozens of envelopes and little treats filling the box nearly to the top, but a neon orange envelope with OPEN ME FIRST written on it caught your eye. You pulled it out of the box and tore into it.
Hey, Gorgeous,
I'm thinking about you right now. Guaranteed. It doesn't matter when you get this box or when you read this note, I'm thinking about how much I love you. And if I'm asleep, I'm dreaming about us eating Thai food on the beach in front of a sunset that is nowhere near as beautiful as you.
I hope you realize there was no way you weren't going to get some letters from me while I'm deployed. I would never let that happen. Somehow, you fell in love with me this way in the first place, and more than anything, I want you to feel as loved as I do. So I filled this box with little notes and long, rambling love letters and things I thought you might like. When you read the individual envelopes, you'll know what to do.
Please fill that journal up for me. I can't wait to read it in seven weeks. I'm missing you like crazy, and I selfishly hope you're missing me just as much. I love you.
Yours Truly,
Bradley
With shaking hands, you set the note down on the orange envelope and swiped at your tears. You never dreamed you would meet a man this romantic, but somehow you did, and he became your boyfriend. "Oh, Bradley," you whispered, picking up a stack of envelopes and reading what was written on each one.
Open me when you've had a bad day
Open me when you really want some coffee
Open me when you need a laugh
Open me when you're in bed
Open me when you need a girls' night
Open me with your class
You flopped down onto the couch and kicked your feet in the air. "Bradley!" you shrieked, voice breaking as you started to cry. You hugged the letters to your chest and let the warm feeling of being loved wash over you and fill your heart. He was unbelievable. He was perfect. He was everything you wanted. And somehow you loved him a little more and missed him a little less with this box on the coffee table.
------------------------------
He's so romantic. He's taking care of Gorgeous from afar! He's coming home to San Diego, but she doesn't even know it! Thanks @beyondthesefourwalls and @daggerspare-standingby

🗯️700 Days of you
SYNOPSIS: Part 2 for the infamous Bakugou texts
DISCLAIMER: Guys English isn't really my first language, though i understand it well i had my friend read over and give me feedback on what i should've changed and added I'm sorry if this is a let down but i tried really hard, i hope you guys enjoy any feedback is greatly appreciated, also I'm so sorry it took almost a week i kept scraping so many ideas sorry , ending was kinda rushed as well sorryyyy :((( <3
Tumblr media
You've known Bakugou Katsuki for roughly 700 days, which is since you were 14. It's not like you knew him well, you just always saw him around your middle school, neighborhood, and at your parents' jobs. The first time you caught a glimpse of Bakugo was on the first day of middle school, the same year you would be leaving for high school. There wasn't anything special about that day, but what made you cherish that day was that he looked back at you as well.
The very first time you got to catch a glimpse of who Bakugou was as a person was through a school project. There aren't enough words in any dictionary to express your gratitude towards Aizawa for pairing you guys together. That day, you managed to get his number and meet up with him at a cafe. Looking back at that memory, you start to cry, not from sadness but embarrassment.
"Hey Bakugou, over here, I got some food for us," were the first words you had spoken to him directly. It seemed foolish to think about his response; would it be "Thank you so much, I love you, let's get married"? Not really. Maybe you had started reading too many romance mangas with Sero. "I don’t like anything that’s not spicy," he said bluntly, getting straight to the point. You would be lying if you said you weren't feeling as if he would explode any second.
"Oh, well, I can always ask for something else."
"There’s no need for that, let's just get started with the project."
"Oh, right. So, I was thinking..." As the afternoon soon turned into nighttime, you both had a pretty decent outline. Bakugou wasn’t bad, at least you didn’t think so. He was the type of person to get straight to the point of whatever he needed to communicate. Although he had trouble wrapping his head around the idea of teamwork, he was still there with you, giving you his views on your research and fixing the paper you had made.
When the night approached, you had both parted ways. That day, you could proudly say that Bakugou wasn’t as entitled as everyone made him out to be; he was smart. It came as a shock to you - getting used to his yelling was hard, but seeing him care for a school project and be somewhat smarter than you was even more surprising.
Tumblr media
The second time you caught a glimpse of Bakugou was when you were at work. Not that you wished to be a stalker, but that's what it seemed like at the moment. As he walked through the door, both of you were stunned to see each other. Although you wished you could crawl into a hole and die in that moment, you still had to stay professional.
"Hello, welcome to Mitsumu’s Fashion headquarters. What can I help you with today?" This was the most embarrassing moment in your life. He just stood there staring at you before he spoke up, "Yeah, I’m just gonna go to my mom’s office. She told me to stop by to help her with a photoshoot." "Oh yeah. I’m supposed to be there. We can start the shoot in a few minutes. Just waiting for the next receptionist to clock in."
20 minutes went by, along with 20 minutes of your anxiety catching up to you, fearing what was to come. The shoot went by pretty smoothly in your opinion. Well, at least Bakugou posing in different outfits went well. The only thing that went south was when the other crew members whispered about you. It was as if you weren’t there.
‘She’s such a screw-up, why can’t they just fire her already i’m getting kind of annoyed having her around’ was a sentence that caught you in a trance, amongst the ‘ugh not her’ and the ‘she’s so weird’ hearing that sentence was enough to make you stop dead in your tracks.
Words hurt. They seemed to cut deeper with every passing day at work. But then you realized that perhaps not all words hurt equally. It was Bakugou who made you believe in that last sentence.
“You two over there near the lights, you’re not discreet at hiding your gossip, instead of focusing on a teenager at your grown age you should maybe focus on doing your job, see that light over there go fix it. It’s your job. She’s doing hers quite fine, Such shame the person you seem to talk about put you both in shame”
He looked at you, and you looked at him. In that moment you knew that deep down the angry Katsuki Bakugou everyone was so afraid of was a mask to hide how he felt. You realized at that moment that Bakugou wasn’t a bad person at all, he just had issues, just like everyone else, And part of you understood that it was okay that he did that. Because by the end of that day, you could say, Katsuki Bakugou was a kind person.
Tumblr media
In your eyes, Katuski was the kindest person you could think of if you get to know him that is, and although kind isn’t a word people use when describing him, It was what you thought of him, and you certainly loved viewing him as such.
Katsuki Bakugou, who stayed sleepless nights with you in a cafe reading romance novels and hearing you rant about your favorite character
Katsuki Bakugou, who always glanced at you when sparring because you would cough more normally than what your drawbacks usually are
Katsuki Bakugou, who when you have no money pays for your food and orders more to disguise it as an eating competition saying he would win and ends up giving you his food because he claimed he didn’t like it, even though it’s his favorite
Katsuki Bakugou, Who hated physical touch but would let you cling to him whenever you got excited, scared, or sometimes needed a shoulder to cry on
Katsuki Bakugou, Who isn’t good at comforting people but tries to show support in different ways and when he’s cornered for being soft will always reply with ‘I’m just telling the truth’
That was the Bakugou you knew, or at least you thought you did. But you couldn’t recognize who stood in front of you.
Bakugo Katsuki, who now stood in front of you saying words you wish you could cancel out “We were never friends, I only let you stick around out of pity”. Maybe this was the kind of person you tried seeing in someone. But not everything goes how we want it to go, do we? In the end, it was you seeking comfort in someone else when they probably didn’t want you around.
Maybe 700 days of thinking you knew Bakugou were probably reduced to 1, the one being today. You had concluded the person you once thought was kind was just a character you decided to make in your head.
Tumblr media
“What’s up with you, you looked like you got run over” How you wish you could smack your best friend right now, “Shindo you think you’re so funny, could you at least pretend to care, you assface” Yo Shindo, the only person you could say has seen through you, not just physically but emotionally as well.
Shindo just never seemed to leave you alone, having met you at recess one random day in kindergarten. He had spotted you and just followed you around wherever you went. You hit him multiple times with rocks hoping he would leave you alone “You can’t keep hitting me with rocks that’s mean, and I’m older than you” were the first words he had told you.
“I don’t care if you’re older just leave me alone” “No” “ Why not” “Because” “Because?” “Just Because” From that day on Yo Shindo followed you everywhere and you listened to whatever he had to say. At this moment, you wish you had thrown a tree trunk at him when you were younger.
“Get up let’s go get ice cream, you’re even making ME depressed, I don’t know what happened at UA, you don’t have to talk about it just come with me to get ice cream”
“How did you get in my house in the first place”
“I broke in”
“You’re lying, no you didn’t Yo”
“I’m kidding your mom let me in”
Hanging out with Shindo was always a way to decompress however you felt in situations. Being separated from Shindo at the start of High School was always hard to get used to. Not having him come visit you during lunch always felt so strange to you, half of your life seeing him come to your door with two bento boxes just disappear into thin air, leaving you lonely almost every day.
“Shindo is there any way I could transfer to Shiketsu”
“Not that I know of, why?”
“At school, there was this guy I started getting close with, I liked him a lot. Maybe as friends, as more, I can't tell my feelings apart but I know one thing. We started getting closer and getting to know each other, I thought he was a great guy, he would do things that just made me feel loved, not necessarily romantically loved but I felt seen with him”
“It was that comfortable feeling I get when I'm with you. If that makes sense, I thought he felt the same way since he also opened up to me. He texted me yesterday saying he didn’t want to be friends with me anymore, I thought it was a joke Shindo, i even went to the company to look for answers, I found him in the middle of a shoot and I was hoping he would tell me  it was a joke but in the end, he told me‘ We were never friends, I only let you stick around out of pity’.” That sentence alone was enough to let Shindo know how you were feeling and as if on instinct he was quick to hold you against his chest as you explained how you felt
“It’s stupid to think he would feel something about me, I feel stupid Shindo I loved him a lot. Whenever I was with him I felt seen, those moments with him made me feel that someone other than you loved me, I feel so stupid, I’m so stupid to think that the boy I fell in love with never existed, it was all just what I wanted to believe Shindo”
“He never cared for me”
Tumblr media
It had been weeks since you told Shindo about what happened. Things weren't going great, but they had taken a turn for the better. After school, Shindo would pick you up and bring snacks. Sometimes, he would take you to the library after school.
Your occasional hangouts became more frequent, and Shindo started dropping you off at school in the mornings in addition to picking you up. You began to notice a positive change in yourself, and you were proud to say that you were feeling a lot better. You weren't the only one who noticed this shift; your classmates noticed it too.
"Y/N, you seem happier, especially since that guy started dropping you off and picking you up. Are you guys dating?" Mina was quick to ask you as you showed up to class one day.
"You mean Shindo? Oh, we’re just childhood friends. He started helping me train and with my school work," you replied.
"You guys are always together. It’s almost impossible to hang out without you having plans with him," Midoriya added.
"Sorry, guys. We’ve just been catching up," you tried to clear up any rumors that might have caused any miscommunication.
Everyone had their eyes on you, watching as you spoke so highly about your 'best friend'. Especially Katsuki; he watched as you smiled, recalling all of your memories with him.
It left a sour taste in his mouth watching as you talked highly about someone else. He was never one to express his emotions well, but with you, it felt easy to try and express how he felt. He knew from the moment he stayed up with you in a library reading ‘A Silent Voice’ that he was developing feelings for you.
He was never one to indulge in emotions, but having those deep talks with you every night made him feel dumb for trying to deny his feelings.
He never confronted his emotions straight away, no matter how much Katsuki tried to adjust; he just couldn’t accept the fact that he was growing in love with you. 'Falling in love' seemed like a terrible way to describe their way of loving someone else. But again, who is he to construe about love?
Not that he purposely wished for it to be that way. Katsuki wanted nothing more than to have done things differently back then.
As time passed, he couldn't get the image of you crying out of his mind. It pained him to see you that way. It wasn't just because he liked you, but also because he knew he was the cause of your sadness. The guilt consumed him, and the thought of you moving on only added to his pain. He couldn't help but feel like a fool for what he had done to you.
Tumblr media
Katsuki was familiar with you. He knew about your favorite romance manga, your parents' connection to his, your love for fashion, your passion for romantic comedies, your favorite subject, and your usual order at the café where you both spent countless nights. He knew you well.
Katsuki knew all your fears - spiders, carnivals, clowns, open spaces, failure, and his mom when she yelled at your co-workers. He noticed all your symptoms and sometimes felt like both of your hearts were connected. He felt crazy saying it out loud, but those moments when you both trained together, you suddenly felt everything he could think of - dizziness, nausea, chest pain, shaking, and trembling. One thing that always stuck with him was whenever you felt anxious, you would bite your fingernails. Once, he took your hands and tried to stop you from doing that, and he noticed how quickly your heartbeat calmed down and started matching his instead.
"If anyone asked him why he was so in tune with knowing you on a general level, he would say out of courtesy. But if he was asked on a deeper level, he would say his heart was calm whenever you were with him, and he yearned for that feeling and you."
He always heard from his mom that love is the most powerful thing someone can experience, in friendships, relationships, or just emotional connections with someone. He believed the majority of what his mom claimed with thoughts of his own. Love is strong, but is it strong enough to make a person?
Certainly not he thought to himself as he watched you and Shindo laugh and push each other at the carnival.
He was tired of pretending he didn’t love you, but he was also tired of not knowing how to talk to you after developing feelings for you. He messed things up, and he knows it.
It hurts to be something he so desperately wish he wasn’t, a uncommunicative person, but it hurts more than anything being nothing without you
Tumblr media
You were gone, no one knew where you had gone they just knew you weren’t at your dorm
The only things left behind were boxes of letters and a blanket he had got you when you were sick. Everyone was distressed, teachers all around the dorms most reassuring students others talking with Nezu on finding out where you were
And all katsuki could do was hope he wouldn’t rip the letter you had wrote to him through his tears and frustration from how tight he held the letter to his heart, hoping some way you could feel how his heart was beating and in hopes of you coming back
Katsuki
Tho the smartest yet dumbest person i know,
If you’re reading this it probably means i left, well kidnapped in other terms, i’ve known for a while i would be taken, i had a gut feeling about this a long time ago so just in case i die, or don’t make it back alive i wanted to write something for you.
There’s so many things i wish i would’ve told you before i left, but sometimes not everything goes the way we wish for them to go, I Know you Bakugou, you’re probably mad i left, or you’re probably pretending to not care, maybe even wondering where i am, if you still care that is, you’ve always been the type of person to think about things too often.
That’s not the real reason i’m writing this letter for you, there’s so much i want to say but i’m afraid there won’t be enough time to do so, so i’ll say it in this letter
Katsuki Bakugou, I am in love with you, i have been from the 700 days of knowing you, but words aren’t  enough to describe how i feel, i left a box under your bed, every reason why i fell in love with you is written in all of them. If i do end up being alive i want to say it to your face
But if i am dead, i want you to know you’re the first person i’ve ever truly loved in this life and hopefully i can love you the same way in my next one
And with that i ask one last thing from you, you’re a person who hates changes but please, if anything does end up going wrong i want you to pursue your dreams for bring number one, i’ll always be cheering you on
So for now this is my last goodbye Katsuki, Thank you for making me feel so at home, i still
think about what happened between us everyday but i hope the best for you in life, even if i’m not there
I love you, thank you for being my friend
Y/N
You were such a dumbass. How could he not love you, when you constantly ran through his mind, he tried to keep his emotions in touch but just as he opened the box you left him he was met with notes and items that reminded him of you. What hurt him even more was reading through all the notes you had wrote for him
One particular note had shifted his emotions complete
‘Hey katsuki, remember that time i kept freaking out over my school grades and you comforted me saying it would all be okay? I still think about that moment and how you held me close to your chest and we layed in bed, in that moment when i looked up at you i saw the reflection of my LED lights in your face and all i could think about was you, i wanted to kiss at that moment from how pretty your eyes looked’
In that moment Bakugo Katsuki knew that what he felt for you wasn’t some simple puppy crush, he craved you he knew that whatever he tried convincing himself wasn’t true at the moment
Not when he was clutching your hairpins and notes close to his chest wishing the burning sensation in his heart would stop
Tumblr media
Weeks had gone by, You had been found by the pro heroes and all he could think about was how he wishes he was the one saving you instead. But atlas he was glad you were safe
When he had gotten word you were found but your condition was critical he wanted nothing more than to just run out of the dorms and find you, but he knew he would’ve been stopped by the teacher. So he waited, he visited the hospital you were staying at everyday, constantly asking when they would be taking visitors
Everyday he was met with the same answer ‘no’ ‘not yet we’ll let you know when she’s ready’. It was killing him not knowing whether he would get the chance to clear up his mistakes and confess to you.
But all of those thoughts suddenly vanished as he waited for the nurses to let him in
You had no memory whatsoever on when you had been rescued, according to the nurses you had woken up 6 days after being rescued by the heroes, and according to one of the nurses there was a boy who constantly kept looking for you, surely it was Shindo, the nurses had said they would bring him to your room
Shock wasn’t enough to describe how you were feeling at the moment, Staring at the guy you least expected in front of you was surely not on your bucket list at all, you were going to speak first until he beat you to it
“I have a lot to say to you so just listen to what i have to say first”
“Back then, i didn’t really know how to deal with the sudden shift in my heart, watching you smile and do things we would normally do, felt so different one random day, I don’t know when it started but watching the way your eyes would shine made my heart tighten, i knew that whatever was happening to my emotions wouldn’t go well on my part”
“So i distanced myself, i never meant any of the words i said at all, i was a asshole for saying that to you, i’m not expecting forgiveness straight away, but watching you get so close to someone else made me feel uneasy, not in a possessive way, but in a way that makes me remember everything you were doing with him you had done all of that with me”
“And when i realized my feelings and had everything sorted out, i was waiting to confront you but i waited too long and you had been kidnapped, When i read your letter i knew that if i were to get you back i would tell you as soon as i could, i didn’t wanna risk you leaving without hearing what i have to say”
“I’m in love with you, I grew in love with you and your stupid smile, your stupid rants, I love you like i’ve never loved anyone before. You’re the only person that has made me smile and I yearn for that feeling and I crave you most importantly. Before i met you i didn’t understand the true meaning of what love is but being with you made me realize it’s okay to not have everything figured out and just enjoy the present” he had finished off
“You’re an asshole”
“I know that”
“You made me cry”
“I know that”
“But at the end of the day it’s you i would rather spend all the time with arguing and clearing every mistake with katsuki, I love you and i hope we can both learn more about each other”
Though he didn’t kiss you in that moment he did pull you in a hug that warms your heart. Every day you’re thankful you got to know Katsuki 700 days of knowing him made your heart warm at the thought of getting to say you had feelings for Katsuki. Things would certainly be tough from that moment on but if it was with Katsuki it was definitely worth it in your eyes.

Playing with their child
Tumblr media
Includes- Toji, Sukuna, Nanami, Gojo, Geto
Tumblr media
Sukuna-
"Your so stupid!" Shouting at the little girl. "No, you are" retailing at the man, he pair of them were trying to roast marshmallows on the campfire they recently created, though it wasn't going as well as she wanted, normally you'd never let her near an open flame especially despite her father being able to make flames. "Shut up, you take after your mother" refusing to acknowledge that his daughter wasn't the brightest. "Leave mummy alone!" Threatening him with the burnt marshmallow. "Do it then!" He knew she wouldn't do it, she valued her life too much despite knowing that he'd never kill his only offspring.
Nanami-
"That'll be £30" sat, scanning the fake barcode on the bowl of soup. "But I made it, so why can't I get it for free?" Normally he'd never create a fuss with her absurd prices but recently he wasn't having it, she started to charge him the average of £20 for a bag of chips, and most of the time they were half eaten. "No, I made it" taking the bowl out of his hands. "You only added the spoon!" He had to teach her about real life and how stupid this was. "Do you want the food or not!?" Grabbing the spoon as she stored it around as if she was going to eat it. Sighing in defeat, he was hungry and tired from work so he just wanted to eat something. "Here" handing her a £30. "That'll be an extra £10 because of the shouting fee"
Geto-
You couldn't understand why his daughter was so obsessed with tea, maybe because he drank it most days but that still wasn't enough. "Here you go" pouring him a glass of 'tea' it looked a little clear to be the tea he liked, and it was proven as he took a sip. "This isn't tea baby" shaking her head in response as she picked up her own cup. "No, it is tea" unable to hide her smile as she drank the real tea, she had switched the cups so that she got the special drink whilst he only got the water. "But it's okay because you can have a biscuit" handing him the last biscuit on the table. "But I want the tea?" Cocking his head to the side. "It for me" smiling at him as she gulped it down.
Gojo-
"Ow" looking down at the battery powered vehicle which kept ramming into his ankle. "Beep beep!" Honking the horn at him, he didn't understand why his son couldn't just drive around him, they were in the open. "Go around" "NO! Your blocking my road" noticing the small toys aligned up in the shape of a racecourse. "What road!?" "This road!" Running over the man's foot "Ow!" They argued like siblings rather than father and son, kicking over the boy's car with a reflex. "MUMMY!"
Toji-
"Give me the money" motioning for her to put it in his hand. "No, you owe me 25!" Crossing her arms as she laid down, she wasn't willing to give up the £5 she got from the bank, it was stupid really as she was just being petty. "That was last week!" The three of you were currently playing monopoly, it never ended well so you didn't understand why you kept doing it, they always argued about the money which normally lasted around 5 minutes. "You owe me 25!" Screaming at the poor man, literally. "I'll pay you back when you give me the money!" That's what he always said you weren't surprised he was in debt before you two got married.

From a meaningless virtual life to the preppy boy I am now
Elliot's story
To convince you to come to the Preppy Academy, here's Elliot's personal testimonial. His life has changed radically thanks to our school's methods. The following are his words:
Hello, my name is Elliot, I'm 20. I'm a student at the Preppy Academy. I'd like to thank M.Gilliard, our principal, who has asked me to write an account of my time here.
Tumblr media
Two years ago, I was still living with my father. I often dressed in sportswear; I loved Adidas clothes, so comfortable and easy to put on. Did I do any sport? No, not at all, but my mates dressed the same, so I followed suit. When I wasn't at school, I used to play video games all the time. I wore my clothes for days on end because I was too lazy to change. My bedroom was a real dump, with everything strewn all over the place. My diet consisted of eating chips and drinking sodas.
My father was fed up with my bad behavior. He works in business, economics, something like that. My mother left us when I was a kid, and since then it's just been me and him. He'd tell me to “tidy my room”, “get dressed properly”. But I didn't give a damn, soon, I thought, I'll be able to leave soon, and I thought I'd be able to live with a friend in a flat-share for a bit of fun.
There was a week when I made a decision that I had regretted at the time but that now makes me what I am. That week, it was at the beginning of my school year and I was playing a game that was too epic and I wanted to do it too much, so I made my dad think I was going to high school while I was pretending. Then, when he left for work, I'd come back and play on my P.S. console. But my stupidity caught up with me, and my father was contacted by the school and told of my repeated absences. It was a Thursday lunchtime, I remember, and he came home to find me quietly in bed. He came into my dirty room and said:
" Elliot, that's enough! You're not going to school anymore, you're dressing like crap. Look at you, you've got holes in your clothes. You haven't washed or combed your hair in days. Things are going to change for you. A colleague at work told me about a boarding school that would be perfect for you. "
Tumblr media
I was on my phone when he said this so I half-listened, as usual. He was clearly desperate about my behavior and had every reason to be. Now I understand. At the end of the afternoon, my father called me and reminded me that he had to take me to the dentist for an annual check-up. I'd completely forgotten, it wasn't something I was interested in remembering. I stayed in the same clothes and he took me to the dentist. I really didn't remember the appointment. Once there, my father accompanied me inside. A waiting room with other parents and their teenagers. There were guys from high school, who were also dressed in sweatpants and sweatshirts and sneakers. I wasn't the only one who dressed like that, which is why it seemed normal to do so. When it was my turn, the dentist called me in. I sat down in his dentist's chair. He asked me to lie down so he could check the inside of my mouth. He put some products in my mouth to relax it. And these products were starting to put me to sleep; he'd put in more than usual.
Tumblr media
I had fallen asleep on his armchair, I didn't know for how long. When I woke up, my hands were tied tightly to the chair. I tried to speak, but my mouth was still anesthetized. My father was talking to the dentist, and they were both looking at me. My father had collected my things, my bag and my phone. Looking around, I soon realized that I wasn't really at the dentist. The man posing as one approached me and said:
"Elliot, your father, has informed us of your behavior at home and has decided to leave you with us for a while. Do you agree? "
I couldn't answer as my mouth was still anesthetized.
" Since you're not answering my question, I imagine you're completely in agreement. If you don't say anything within a minute, we'll assume you agree."
I was trying to speak to refuse and scream for help, but only discreet moans came out.
" Then we do have your agreement. "
My eyes began to tire again and I finally dozed off again.
Tumblr media
I don't know what treatment he gave me, but it was like a dissociation. I saw myself outside my body like a ghost looking at my body. My father left with my things. The staff laid me properly on the bed and undressed me. I was completely naked at one point. They put a red ball in my mouth and covered my mouth with a gag that held with a tight strap behind it. I was as if unable to act, in the hands of my kidnappers. They dressed me in a white short-sleeved polo shirt, buttoned all the way up, tucked into khaki shorts with a brown belt, white knee-high socks and black loafers. They then cut my hair and styled it, neatly styled to the side and held with wax. I began to regain consciousness little by little, but I felt as if I were paralyzed in my own body, between the products that were still taking effect and the bonds that prevented me from fleeing.
"Elliot, you're back with us. We've prepared you in a more respectable outfit than the garbage you used to wear. This preppy outfit suits you much better. Your hair looks much better like this. You probably have a lot of questions, but you're in good hands. I'm Doctor Greenwood, I'm here when sometimes you need a little push to get you into the Academy. I'll leave you here tonight and you'll make your official entrance tomorrow. "
I was stuck on this bed for several hours, and above me they'd set up a screen with a series of images and sounds that I had no choice but to watch. And no matter how tempted I was to close my eyes, a deep voice kept reading every word on the moving image. Eventually, I fell asleep to the rhythm of the video, which hypnotized me as it went along.
“I want to be a preppy boy. Good preppy boys must obey, serve, submit, behave. Good boys comply. I want to be a good preppy boy” again and again and again...
This mantra was stuck in my head like music that never wants to come out. I still felt resistance, an urge to rebel and run away, but I was blocked and strangely began to feel pleasure at the idea of being a good preppy boy.
When I woke up, four men in their thirties, all dressed in pastel shirts tucked into their pants, with bowties and loafers, took me by force. They took me by the arms and forced me to follow them. They put me in a van and tied me up. My gag was still in my mouth and I couldn't scream. I was at their mercy, with no power or control over the situation. I was their object.
I was taken to a large, ivy-league type establishment, at the top of the main entrance is written “Preppy Academy”. I was led inside and up the stairs. I arrive in a very elegant office, with wood paneling and bookcases on every wall. The 4 men undress me.
Tumblr media
I find myself in a preppy outfit: a white and blue striped OCBD shirt, pastel yellow shorts, red and blue suspenders, a dark blue and red striped tie tied around my neck, long white knee-high socks and dark loafers. Nothing to do with my outfits at home. I've been completely transformed into a preppy boy. I'm left with my hands tied and my mouth gagged in this office. I don't know what to do, I'm a slave to this establishment. My outfit isn't as comfortable as the one at home, I can feel the fabric of my shirt on my torso compressing me, the suspenders holding my shorts are like two ropes binding my outfit to my body, the pulled-up socks are so humiliating, I feel like a boy. But as I think I'm disgusted by my outfit, I realize that it actually turns me on. I like to think I have to be dressed like this to feel good. A few minutes later, a man in his fifties walks in. He's dressed in a nice three-piece suit, with a red tie. He looks at me deeply:
"Hello Elliot! Welcome to the Preppy Academy. Your father told me you weren't behaving properly at home. He contacted us and paid for your enrollment. Whether you like it or not, you're staying here. You'll wake up here and sleep here. Your education needs to be reviewed. You must learn to be a good preppy boy for your superiors. I am M.Gilliard, the principal of this prestigious establishment. I am the Master of all the students here. You owe me obedience, submission, service and respect. "
These words enchanted me, and even though I wanted to leave, I could only nod in agreement.
"To complete your admission among us, I must collect something. "
The 4 young men from earlier return and make me sit down on the chair, holding me tight. Mr. Gilliard unzips my pants and pulls out my penis. I start moaning, not agreeing with what's happening. Mr.Gilliard puts a sort of cage on my penis, forcing it to stay very small and any erection would hurt.
" It's called a chastity cage. I'm the only one who keeps the keys. Every good boy here is caged. Your personal pleasure doesn't matter; you're here to obey and learn to serve. Your only satisfaction at the end of the day is to please men superior to you. "
“I want to be a preppy boy. Good preppy boys must obey, serve, submit, behave. Good boys comply. I want to be a good preppy boy”. This phrase made more and more sense. I was introduced to the establishment, the rules to follow and taken to a room I had to share, with a wardrobe full of preppy clothes, nothing I'd had before.
Tumblr media
I've been here for two years now and I don't want to leave. I like to serve my Master when he asks for it. I like being a good preppy boy. Obedient and helpful. I don't miss my old life anymore. I encourage all boys and men to come to the Preppy Academy. You'll love it!

For @tasha95 ... I hope it meets your expectations 😅 I got a little carried away 😅😅
Tumblr media
“Bitsy I love you... I REALLY love you but this is ridiculous” Keira said one evening after training as you two were driving back to her home
“What?” you said absently as you looked up from your phone
“The situation between you and Ona” the blonde clarified
“There is no situation” you grumbled getting back on your phone
“There is... I don't know what happened and you know I'll never push you to tell me but I have eyes and the way Ona always looks over at you and you avoiding her like the pest is a dead give away that there is a situation” Keira said as she stopped at a red light
“There is no situation” you answered
“Bitsy” the blonde said softly
“I let a fan comment get the better of me and said some.. not so nice things” you mumbled
“What did the fan said that YOU of all people let it get to you?” Keira asked her hand finding your knee to calm you down
“They asked me if Lucy and Ona where a thing since Lstans wedding or before... you know.. back in Manchester” you mumbled getting even more ashamed
“Oh Bitsy... you started to overthink didn't you?” the blonde sighed
“Yeah... I called them hypocrites” you said looking down on your hands
“Why?” Keira asked confused
“Lucy was so upset about G and I and I really thought they started before....” you left the rest of the sentence open
“... you thought Lucy cheated on me with Ona?” Keira said confused and shocked
“Kinda... yeah” you mumbled
“And that would make Ona a hypocrite how?” the blonde started do push the answer out of you a little bit
“Don't know.... I was just so mad” you said honestly
“I DO understand where you're coming from Bits... and you know I'm always in your corner but you probably hurt Ona.. I know you didn't have it easy in the past but you need to suck it up and apologize” Keira said seriously her hand still on your knee squeezing it lightly
“I know.... I REALLY know... I just don't know HOW” you said your voice a little desperate
“Ona is very forgiving you know... pull her aside and apologize – a real honest apology and I can promise you she'll forget about it” the blonde smiled encouraging “... but you hurt her”
“I know... I feel very bad about it” you mumbled embarrassed
“Good.. you are an amazing person Bitsy – just show Ona” Keira smiled as she pulled into the driveway
That was one week ago. You still haven't apologized. Simply due to the fact that every time you talked some courage into yourself and you were on the way towards Ona to finally apologize someone called her, talked to her or swept her away for some media. So you retorted to you last resort which brought you to the current situation – slumped down against Lucys front door waiting for the familiar black Cupra to pull up. You were waiting now for two hours now and there was still no one in sight. Your phone nearly dead from all the texting with your girlfriend you were down to count the pedals of the roses in the small front yard. Finally there was a car coming down the street and you got some hope that it was Lucy but you soon realized that it wasn't. So you kept on waiting – you told Keira where you were so she wouldn't freak out but right now you wished for nothing more than someone familiar next to you. The sun began to set about 20 minutes ago and it started to get dark really quickly. You were tired – so so tired. Since you were back in Barcelona – and after you kind of worked through your trauma about your ACL and the realisation that you'll never ever play professional football again – you started to kick the ball around more often. Mostly with Mapí, Pina and Patri who never said a single word about how broken you looked. Even tho the three took it lightly with you it costed you a lot of Energy to keep up with them. The first time they saw you again when Lucy brought you back from Munich, your girlfriend right next to you not letting you out of her sight for a single second – they where shocked but never ever said a word about it and just accepted everything you were willing to give freely.
So you pulled the Barcelona Jacket you got from Alexia - in a small moment between the two of you – tighter around you and got a little more “comfortable” against the door. You didn't plan to fall asleep but eventually you did. That's how Lucy and Ona found you about one and a half hours later when they finally made their way home – having stopped for some dinner spontaneously on the way and then taking a little walk at the beach.
“Bubs? Hey Bubs” Lucy said softly and started to shake you lightly so she wouldn't startle you
“Hm??” you grunted lowly not really waking up
“Come on Bubs... it's getting cold here... let's get you inside” your sister said lovingly as she picked you up like you weight nothing
“Can't... need to wait for Ona.... need to pologize” you mumbled still three quarter asleep not realizing that Ona was right next to Lucy
“It's okay Bubs” Lucy mumbled into your hair holding you tightly against her while Ona unlocked the door “You can apologise tomorrow”
“No...” you whined as you drifted off to sleep again “... trying for a week now... always someone stealing her”
“She'll be right here when you wake up Bubs” your sister said as she carefully laid you down on “your” bed before leaving the room letting the door a small bit open so you wouldn't feel trapped if you'd wake up later
“She doesn't need to apologise” Ona said immediately as Lucy came back into the living room “I know she didn't mean it”
“She needs to... for her own sake... I saw how she tried the whole week to try and come over to talk to you” Lucy said as she opened a bottle of wine since they had a day off tomorrow
“When?” Ona asked confused not noticing how you struggled to find a way to talk to her “I kept an eye on her but every time I looked she was either deep in conversation or with the Trio of Trouble”
“Mhm...” your sister confirmed while passing a glass to her girlfriend “... and every time she looked over you were either in conversation or got stolen away for media – it drove me crazy to watch the two of you looking past each other for a week”
“Why didn't you say anything?” the spaniard said confused
“Not my place....” Lucy shrugged her shoulders “... that's something between her and you”
“Morning” you mumbled once you dragged yourself into the kitchen
“Bon dia Bebita” Ona said softly reaching you a cup of coffee
“I want to apologise” you mumbled lowly after you took a small sip of coffee
“No need Bebita...” the blonde started but you interrupted her immediately
“... yes need... what I did and say wasn't okay... not at all... Lucy and Keira always told me not to listen to fans or media... I don't know why this comment got to me the way it did.... maybe because Lucy was so... shitty about G and I... I don't know... but you had nothing to do with it... I'm sorry Ona... I'm sorry I pulled you into the shit I made up in my head” you said honestly but you couldn't bring yourself to look into her eyes
“Look at me...” Ona said firmly and you thought you really fucked up and your mind started to go a million miles an hour about how you just destroyed either the relationship between Lucy and Ona or even worse for you – the relationship between your sister and you
“... Bebita... I really appreciate your apology – I do...” the spaniard started softly “... but there is no need. I know how certain comments can hurt – especially if they're made to get a reaction out of you... and I followed some pages online and not one of them posted anything about Lucys and mine relationship other than the usual – so you didn't let that comment get to you until you were out of the situation and that's worth more than every apology... at least to me... you didn't comment on it you left and you didn't bring Lucy or I in a situation where we had to think about a plan to do “damage control”... you showed me that you accept me and our relationship... and that's the biggest gift you could give me”

There was silence. Liana wasn't sure how long they stared at each other in silence, but it was too long, and she so desperately wanted to stop looking at him and die a slow death filled with agony, suffering, and embarrassment because that was obviously what awaited her in the coming hours.
She was supposed to share a bed with him after she asked him if he wanted to fuck her, and he basically said no. Well, he didn't say anything, which might have been even worse.
"Forget about it. It was just hypothetical about random people," she swallowed, and Art nodded. "As a concept. Like in that movie with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher," she continued rambling. "Justin Timberlake," Art said in a voice she couldn't quite understand. "What about him?" she asked, desperately trying to change the subject. "Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake. Ashton Kutcher is another movie," he explained. Neither of them moved their gaze. Liana was afraid to blink. She felt like she was in some stupid game, and the first one to break eye contact would lose and end their life in seppuku out of sheer embarrassment. "Oh," she had nothing else to say.
"Ask again," Art suddenly said after a few more seconds (maybe minutes, maybe hours, maybe days, how long had they been standing in this room?). "What?" she swallowed again. "Liana." His voice was authoritative. They both knew she couldn't escape this. "It was nothing," she tried. She really tried. Why did he have to humiliate her and couldn't just let it pass? Why couldn't they wait a year or two and just laugh about it together? Why was the joke always at her expense? "Liana." The same tone again. He wasn't going to let it go, and he was taking his time to torment her slowly. Why was it so hot in this room?
"Do you think people can fuck without commitment?" she asked after a few more seconds of silence. "That's not what you asked." He leaned on the dresser behind him, losing patience with the girl in front of him. "Put on your big girl pants that you had on five minutes ago and ask again," he said. "If you heard me, why do I need to repeat myself?" she crossed her arms under her chest.
"Okay, if you can't finish the pitch properly, then the answer is no," he rolled his eyes and sighed. Art was getting annoyed with the situation. It didn't make sense that she was doing this. After five years, she gave him a taste of something and then took it all back in a second. She wouldn't let him savor it.
"Why are you angry with me now?" she sounded confused. "Because you're talking in circles instead of saying what you want when you know for sure that the moment you say it, you'll get it. Who's afraid to ask for things when they know they'll get exactly what they ask for?" he looked at her, raising an eyebrow. There was a hint of frustration in his voice, but he managed to keep his cool. He managed to be the more authoritative person in the room without losing empathy.
All Liana could think about was how attracted she was to Art when he spoke exactly like that. When there was a hint of disdain in his voice. A mutual understanding of the power dynamics. Until now, she had decided the dynamics between them, and the moment she gave him an opening, Art grabbed it with both hands, and only he knew how much he intended not to let it go.
"Let's just go to sleep," he rolled his eyes again and moved towards the bed, passing through her as if she wasn't standing there at all. "Art. Wait, come on." She grabbed his hand, and he stopped. They both breathed heavily. He gently ran his fingers over her hand, feeling her pulse and realizing how fast her heart was beating.
Let me in Let me in Come on
That was all he could think about. He needed it to come from her. He needed her to ask, to tell him she wanted it. Otherwise, he'd ruin everything. The entire past year would go down the drain. He couldn't allow their relationship to regress because he misunderstood the dynamics. He couldn't let her ruin what they could be together for a fleeting whim.
"Do you want to try it? The friends with benefits thing?" If it was possible, her heart beat even faster.
Art pressed his head to hers, their foreheads touching. This was the closest he'd been to Liana in the last five years, and his level of self-control was inspiring if anyone knew what it took from him right now. "How will we do it?" he asked. His voice was hoarse and raspy, but outwardly he still showed complete control. As if at any moment, he would detach from her and go to sleep. As if she needed to convince him. To sell him that fucking her was a good idea. He felt almost cruel. Almost sadistic, making her do it. But he needed to hear her talk about how much she needed him. How he was the solution for her right now. How he could give her something no one else could.
"The benefits part is pretty self-explanatory," she mumbled, closing her eyes. "The friends part we're also okay with," Liana added. "We can fuck whoever we want without questions or vetoes, and if someone says the arrangement no longer suits them, we forget everything and go back to drinking wine and playing Scrabble on Thursdays," she took a step back, and Art sighed. A bit angry at himself for showing how much the break in contact bothered him.
"You can't sleep with Patrick, though," he stated. Not asked. Making her raise an eyebrow. "Okay, so you can't sleep with Tashi," she quickly added her own condition. "Tashi and I never slept together, and we don't plan to sleep together anytime soon, but fine," his voice was amused as if he wanted to ruffle her hair because she was so sweet in his eyes. Liana considered kicking him in the balls for being such an arrogant bastard.
"I'll cancel everything, watch out," she said the only thing that came to her mind. "Uh-huh," another amused remark. As if he didn't care at all about what she was saying. "Donaldson!" she crossed her arms under her chest. "I still want wine and Scrabble on Thursdays. If that gets canceled, then the sex thing is also off," he continued while she looked at him as if he were crazy.
"Art," she swallowed and looked at him with a slightly different expression. He recognized she was more serious now. "It can't be like five years ago. You can't use this against me, okay?" she said, and Art wanted to die when he saw how much it stressed her out to tell him that.
"I'm three times more desperate for this arrangement than you are. The only one who can use any of this against anyone is you, Liana," he said sincerely, and she nodded. "So let's do it," she extended her hand for a handshake and smiled sweetly. "Are you for real?" he asked with a smirk on his face. It didn't make sense that she was so cute about such a sleazy deal. It just didn't make sense. "Shake my hand already, Arthur," she said, and he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him. Their breaths mingled as both their eyes closed, and Art's lips brushed against Liana's. At first, there was a tenderness and almost shyness. As if it was the first time either of them had any human contact with any other person. After a few seconds, the kiss became hungry, and there was no battle for dominance because it was clear to both of them that Art was taking control from here. The moment his tongue asked for entry, Liana would part her lips and allow him to enter and explore her mouth from the inside.
And within seconds, one of his hands was on Liana's waist, and the other roamed over every part of her body. If Art could, he would touch all of her at once. For a moment, he didn't know what to focus on. Just the thought that after five years, Liana was his again, and he was allowed to touch her, could bring him to the edge.
Neither of them knew how, but her shirt found itself on the floor, and Art's lips began to trail small kisses on her neck as he guided them both to the bed, where he threw Liana. Taking a few seconds to look at the woman in front of him, half-naked and smiling shyly.
His. His to do with as he pleased. His to decide what he wanted. His. His. His. Liana was his. And with those thoughts, his lips were on hers again, and one of his hands was on her right breast, playing with her nipple. He pinched, squeezed, and held it fiercely, somewhat punishing for all the years he couldn't do exactly that. She moaned into his mouth, and as strange as the sound was, it felt as if he'd heard her moan just two days ago.
"Fuck, Art," she mumbled in a half-moan as his mouth was on her neck again, "You can't leave a mark," it was barely audible, just breaths, but Art understood her and in response, his teeth found a spot under her ear. Just to show her that if he wanted, he could, and she wouldn't say anything because here she was, not saying anything, just breathing and trying to touch him back. But he didn't leave a mark on her neck. No matter how much he wanted to claim his territory. He decided he'd leave marks elsewhere.
His lips descended slowly, cruelly, little kisses on her collarbone. He lingered on one, adding a nibble. "I'm going to leave so many marks on you, Lia. You'll be covered in them," he said, returning to the same spot. All Liana could manage in response was a mumbled, sultry plea.
"Please," she moaned again. Neither of them knew what she was asking for, but Art had already moved to the other side of her collarbone, taking his time on another spot.
Then his lips halted above her breasts, all the while playing with her nipples. He made sure not to neglect either, giving equal attention to both the left and the right.
"You seem like something's bothering you, Liana. What is it?" he teased, knowing she couldn't answer him now; she was in a world of her own.
"You're wearing too much," she mumbled, opening eyes filled with tears of pleasure that blurred her vision. She wanted more of him. She wanted to consume him entirely, above her, beside her, within her. She wanted Art Donaldson in every way he would allow her to have him. "Need more," she mumbled, and his lips covered her left nipple, making her moan as he growled into her chest.
Art rose above her despite the physical pain of pulling away. Liana's eyes were on him as he took off the pants he'd been wearing just minutes ago. He raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to say something.
"More," she said, biting her lower lip and playing with her own nipple. What a sight. If Art died now, he'd die happy.
He removed his boxers, presenting her with his erect cock while Liana surveyed every inch of his body.
"Do you want me to do a little spin or something?" he joked, trying to regain some control. "Are you waiting for an invitation to take your pants off, or are you just going to lie there and order me around?" he asked, restoring the balance to their relationship.
Liana nodded and lifted herself enough to remove the pants she was wearing, staying in a tiny black thong.
"Leave that on," Art said as she was about to remove it too. He couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing but wasn't entirely surprised. "Such a good girl with underwear like these, what am I supposed to do with that, Lia?" The playful tone returned as he started to plant wet kisses on her stomach, making her moan at the compliment.
Her panties came off with his teeth, after he didn't spare her any comments on how wet she was.
"Look, Liana." He brought them close to her face, and when she moaned, she brought her mouth close to them, opening it, but Art gently tossed them onto her nose. "Are you happy?" he asked, and she nodded. "Of course you're happy. You're so wet you'd come from just one finger inside you." Another moan and growl. Again, her chest arched that Art had to steady beneath him. So needy. So beautiful.
His mouth was on her clit in a sharp movement, along with two fingers inside her. He wasn't wrong; her first orgasm came within seconds. She had been so horny in recent months. So in need of touch, and Art provided it superbly. Art was here to fulfill and respond to everything she needed from him.
"I need to ride you. Please," she mumbled, opening her eyes, returning to reality from her orgasm within seconds.
"Who am I to deny you what you need," he replied and moved off her, sitting on the bed beside her, leaning against the wall.
Liana climbed onto him at that moment. As if she hadn't yet recovered from the high, she began to rub against his thighs while his large hand grasped her ass.
"Fuck," he said, turning his gaze away from her for a moment, but she made him look back at her with her hand. Her other hand found his mouth, inserting two fingers he took deeper, showing her he would take whatever she gave him. Another moan, at this point, it was hard to tell who was making more noise. Who was more desperate.
"Stop being a tease," Art lost his patience. "Or I'm fucking you the way I want." He stated, and as he said it, in that voice she loved, she inserted his dick inside her. Not even slowly. Not allowing herself a moment to adjust to the feeling of fullness. She felt filled with Art Donaldson, and it was the best feeling in the world.
"Move, Lia," Art smacked her ass, bringing her back to reality, and she began to move, initially forward and backward slowly, making him release sounds she didn't remember from him. "Just like that, good girl. Faster, Liana," he released more incoherent commands. She shoved her breast into his mouth to give him something to occupy himself with. He moaned into it, not taking his eyes off her as she picked up the pace, moving up and down.
"I'm close," she managed to say. The fingers that had been in his mouth and then visited hers were now playing with her own clit as she rode him. Both were covered in sweat from the effort.
"Me too baby," he said into her, sounding muffled from her chest, making her moan because he had again decided to bite her sensitive nipple.
"It's okay, I have an IUD," she said, and his growl was deep and throaty as she felt the heat of his release deep inside her while she contracted around him from her own orgasm, thanking God for the decision to get an IUD after the abortion.
"You're perfect," he mumbled as she slowly moved off him. Her body was limp, and she couldn't talk and breathe simultaneously.
"We need to shower," she mumbled and giggled in response. "In the morning," he replied.
Both had their eyes closed, knowing there was no chance they would move from current position.
Art's alarm clock was set for 5:45 AM, waking him swiftly. He hit the button, hoping for a moment before Liana woke up too. His hand rested on her chest, his head nestled into her neck, their legs entwined. Art couldn't stop smiling, feeling like a fool. He wanted to lie to himself and say he always woke up like this when a woman slept over, but the truth was, Liana was the only one he woke up with this way. No matter how much sex he'd had in his life, the sleep and his need for touch afterward were only with Liana.
Amid these thoughts, he realized his cock was hard, demanding to be inside her again, as if she might disappear from his life once more. Slowly, while she was still asleep, his mouth started placing gentle kisses on her neck, where it had rested before. His hand played with the breast it was already on.
Liana woke with a moan. "Morning," she mumbled. "Mmhmm," he replied from within her neck. "What time is it?" she managed to ask without turning to face him, giving him more room to scatter his kisses. "Early," he replied. "Need you like this," he explained what was happening. "Yours," she simply said, and he growled in response. How could she say something like that so effortlessly? "Mine," he said softly. Both of their eyes were still hazy from sleep, and her hand started moving up and down his dick. Another growl. "Fuck, Liana, just like that," he said. They were both too lazy to move, but his hand was already between her legs too. Their moans mingled, and he turned her face to him, giving her a deep kiss as he did. "God, Art," she mumbled into him, and he bit her lip, holding it between his teeth and releasing only when he couldn't stifle a moan.
He moved her small hand from his dick and slowly slid it where she needed him most, hearing the most beautiful sigh he'd ever heard. Everything about it was needy, gentle, slow, and sloppy, and neither of them cared. Liana was drunk on his cock. She could do anything he asked of her right now, in this exact state; wet, lazy, and under the influence of his dick and large hands holding her tightly.
"You feel so good, Lia. So tight and wet, fuck. You take me as if you were made for me," he said into her ear, and all she could do in response was breathe deeply and tighten around his cock. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you," she mumbled, and Art was sure he was hallucinating. He growled so loudly, in such a low tone, he thought he might pass out for a moment.
"Are you thanking me for fucking you?" he asked in that voice she loved, and she wanted to see his face, but she couldn't because she was facing away from him. "Feels so good, Art," she said, and he felt her come around him, making him come too and stay inside her for a moment longer, not wanting it to end.
"Hey," he said after he pulled out of her, and she turned to face him. He moved some hair from her sweaty face. "Hey," she smiled and kissed him, making him close his eyes for a moment. "I need to get warmed up before the match. You can sleep a bit more, but don't miss breakfast," he kissed her forehead as he stood up and headed towards the shower.
And while he was showering, he wondered if Liana knew this wasn't what friends with benefits looked like; This wasn't how you acted if you wanted to have sex and move on as if it never happened. This wasn't how you kissed. This wasn't how you hugged. This wasn't how you fucked.
That day, with Liana sitting in the stands, Art played the best tennis of his life. Two levels above his average, against an opponent all the bets said might defeat Art from the first set to the last. All the commentators trying to explain Art's moves didn't know he was invincible when Liana Levy slept in his bed and then sat in the stands watching him.
And while Art played, there were other eyes that didn't leave Liana, ones that were hard to miss in one of the rows in the stands- Patrick Zweig. He saw Art's performance and, with the necessary caution, understood what was happening around him. He understood that Liana hadn't lied when she spoke to him in the parking lot. She was Art's now, and all Patrick could do was become better. Become worthy again.
Well, hello there. How are we feeling??? I can't believe it's part 20 and you guys can still stand me. It's basically insane to me. I'd like to hear your thoughts about the chapter, so pls pls pls comment and DM me.

YOUR MOTHER WAS DRAMATIC. Everything little thing that happened, she would inflate out of proportion, just like today. When you called her and told her you had some odd rashes, she freaked out and arrived to your university accommodation within 10 minutes. You tried to reassure her that it wasn't deep, but she didn't want to hear it. Assuming the worst, she literally dragged you by your ear to her car and drove you to the hospital.
The whole thing was humiliating as your friends and anyone who lived in your section watched the whole interaction form their windows. You understand your mother wanted to make sure you were alright. Especially as you were the youngest sibling she always was extra mindful of you. But she was doing way to much for your liking. You just wanted to get this over with and go home.
Once you arrived you and your mother approached the counter and rang the bell so that a receptionists could be alerted. Soon a tall male appeared “ I apologise for the wait I had an important call.. what can I do for you miss?” You shot your head up once you heard the voice stepping closer and locking eyes with him .
For you, it was love at first sight. He was cute, he was handsome, and all of the above. You had never seen anyone as attractive as him in your 20 years of living. Who is this angel from above his jawline? I need him to cut me in ha- " y/n sweetie, why don't you explain your problem to the gentleman?"
Oh yeah..my rashes
“uh... I have some rashes uh... that are uh... spreading all over umm..my back” you internally slapped yourself for speaking like that and stuttering it's bad enough you showed up with your mum at your big age and now this..what was he supposed to think of you. It was difficult to concentrate on your words as his deep brown eyes were fixed on you.
He hummed as he scribbled something on his notes, “ladies please sit over there on the red chairs and make yourself comfortable I'll set you up with one of our doctors in a minute ” oh I'll make myself comfortable alright “pardon? ” You covered your mouth with your hands as you gasped, realising you had spoken out loud. Here I am again, embarrassing myself in front of him .
The male chuckled to himself before heading off down the hall.
Later that week more like 2 days after you found yourself at the hospital again Why? Because you were sick sick. Suffering from what? A bad case of I’m attracted to my hospitals receptionist syndrome and you needed an antidote quickly. So What perfect way to curs yourself by seeing the cause instead.
Plus you couldn’t focus at uni he lived in your head rent free and you didn’t even know his name. You wanted to talk to him again to hear his deep voice. Maybe you were obsessed ? Crazy? But you were crazy in love and needed to see him. So during your free you took the train and made your way to the hospital.
As you approached the counter you were met with an unfamiliar pair of eyes it was another receptionist. Where’s the sexy jawline dude who the hell is this old woman? “ umm excuse me ? Where’s the hot receptionist” the lady looked up from her paper and raised a brow eyeing you up and down “ if your a fan girl please excuse yourself out the hospital if your not actually sick “ tch she has an attitude “ uhh..im actually his girlfriend im here to drop somthing off ! I’ll be quick” you forced a smile as she squinted her eyes once more giving you a look as if searching for you obvious lie but she seemed to buy it “ I’ll call him for you stay here ” she disappears into the back and eventually your “boyfriend” comes out.
“ boyfriend ? “ he raised a brow with an amused smile on his face. You will be soon you just don’t know it yet “ i..uhh I only said that so you could come out please don’t misunderstand anything ” he nodded sitting down on the chair “ well then since you requested me what do you need ? ” you didn’t actually come there with a plan. Not having enough time to think of some fake diagnosis to give yourself you chose to be honest.
A sudden wave of confidence washes over you “ I need you ” he raised a brow “pardon ?” You nodd “ you heard me” the male chuckles to himself “you came all the way just to say this.. I’ll applaud you for your determination but im not interested ” im going to throw my self of a building “ don’t speak so soon.. once you get to know me your going to become interested” he hummed “ sure sure” you crossed your arms “ well if your going to reject me can I at least know the name of the guy I’ve been dreaming about ” he smirks “ you’ve been dreaming about me? Your very honest I like that.. and the names jay “ even his name is sexy
“ I’m honest and a lot more things you will like if your willing to find out jay..” you graced your fingers over his lightly before turning off to leave. With a proud smile on your face
Jay didn’t really understand what just happed but he found you amusing. It’s not like he hadn’t had girls come here and put it on him but something about the way you carried yourself and acted was different. He wouldn’t admit it but he hoped to see you some time soon.
As quick as the next day you showed up. You approach the counter to be met with the same old annoying lady “ here to see your boyfriend? I’ll get him ” maybe she’s not so annoying anymore you smiled to yourself as your little lie seemed to be doing you wonders
“ good afternoon jay how’ve you been did you miss me” he rolled his eyes while flicking though some documents “ you’ve been gone for 21 hours.. there’s nothing to miss it hasn’t even been a full day” he was counting..? “ you counted how many hours soooo…you did miss me didn’t you ?” you spoke with a slight blush on your cheeks at the thought that he actually missed you to some extent. Jay noticed this he thought it was cute how easily flustered you got “ your cute when you blush ” hearing him say that you made your legs melt like jelly almost losing balance to the point jay even stood up reaching out for your arm in concern
“ y/n.. are you alright ?” You nodd slowly “ you know my name..” you speak in a dazed tone to which jay smiles “ of course your not someone to forget.. so are you actually sick or.. you came here to see me” what do you think “ no this time I’m actually a little under the weather do you want to know why jay ” he nodded getting out his notepad
“ I’m stuffing from unrequited love.. the guy I like doesn’t feel the same way.. and I think I might die from a broken heart ” you spoke dramatically with a small pout flashing jay your doe eyes hoping he would be tranced by your attempt to be cute and fall in love with you. To your shock he flicked your forehead “ ouch! Why would you do that ! ” he now moved closer to you placing his hands on the counter staring at you deeply
“ it seems your suffering form something else too.. stupidity ” huh? What is that supposed to mean “ what.. please elaborate I’m unaware of this symptom” you speak deeply confused so you move closer to jay urging him for an answer. Almost closing the distance between the two of you. You action caught jay of guard causing him to move back and hide his deep blush with a cough “ that’s a conversation for another time “ you raise a brow “ another time? So you intend to see me again when’s the date ” he laughs “ I never said I was taking you out on a date ” you pout again
“ fine then.. I guess I’ll just go to another hospital form now on..” you turn to leave wishing he would follow you but the more you headed to the entrance you realised he wasn’t. You sighed maybe this is a sign I should move on.
Though just as you stepped foot out the entrance you felt a force pull you to an outside wall pushing you against it. You were shocked to see jay. “ are you that dense y/n” what what what “Huh..? I don’t I.. I don’t understand ” his eyes flicked from your eyes to your lips he seemed as if he heisted at the thought of kissing you
“ on second thought.. I-I don’t need to understand if your going to kiss me just do it ” he chuckled lightly placing his finger on your lips “ I want to make that move in a better and more appropriate setting if you get what I mean” he still wants to kiss me so a win is a win.
you couldn’t belive that this whole time jay liked you back you mentally facepalm yourself for being so dense how did you not notice sooner? A regular person would have shooed you away yet he entertained it all. It was so obvious I’m an idiot
He pulls away from you slightly now resting on the wall next to you
“ wait so you really did miss me? ” he nodded but you didn’t fail to miss the small tint of red that was evident on his ears as he attempted to turn away “ yeah.. I actually gave you my number but I guess you didn’t notice “ you raise a brow number HE GAVE ME HIS NUMBER AND I DIDINT NOTICE !?
“ wait wait wait when? “ he shrugged “ on the first day I wrote it on a sheet of paper and when I escorted you and your mom to the doctor I slipped it into your bag since you left it open Damm it this was the 3rd mental facepalming you had revived for your actions, as you do in fact remember seeing a scrunched up ball of paper but assumed it was rubbish and threw it in the trash.
“ I threw that in the bin thinking it was rubbish oh my gosh Jay why didn’t you just straight up say it to me my memory is impeccable!” he smiles “ I wanted to tease you a little bit longer I like seeing you all cute and flustered ” now it was your turn away and hide the blush on your face.
You had so much more you wanted to say to him but the interaction was cut short by that annoying old lady. Yes after what interrupting your lil moment with jay she became annoying again
“ Jay.. stop sucking your girlfriends face off and answer to some customers I’m on my break !” She yells as you could hear her approaching. You turn to jay with a frown. Though Shocking both you and him Jay unknowingly places a quick kiss on your cheek mouthing a small “I’ll see you later” before running back into the hospital.
You sigh as you lean on the wall placing your hand on your cheek as you relived the moment on reply. Again and again and again and again- “ y/n!” you hear jay call out for you. He approached you quickly placing a folded paper in your Palm “ my number.. please don’t throw it away again and call me”
And he sped off again
You smiled to yourself as you held the paper firmly in your hand not wanting to let go. You never knew in your life that you would be thanking your mother for being so dramatic.

There was a woman sat on the curb with a typewriter when I left taco bell, with a sign taped to her folding table advertising personal poems written for you on the spot. And you know... Sometimes you have to let people surprise you. I stopped, in my Dyke shirt with my caduceus clay book in one hand, and I told her I've never seen a poem about asexuality that wasn't sad.
We chatted for a good fifteen minutes, in which she - self describing as hypersexual - asked me more about my experience. She had friends who were on the ace spectrum, which was a relief on my part to not start from zero, and I just told her what I could. About growing up with friends who would stop talking to me once they got partners and tell me I would understand one day, about how it feels a little like being in a musical but never having heard the words everyone else knows or learned the steps to the dance they're all doing in unison. We laughed together at the way I'm mystified by story plots that revolve around bad decisions made due to being just that horny, a situation she was intimately familiar with and having a 43-year life full of those stories.
At the end she asked if I happened to have a title in mind and at first there was nothing. I hate titles. I tend to default to song lyrics for ao3. But as soon as she asked, I remembered standing in the cafeteria in eighth grade and being annoyed that all the Greek gods of love were of that kind of love. I remember wondering if there was a god/dess of friendship, and I remember the closest I found was Philotes: goddess of friendship, affection, and sex. In eighth grade I took the last one with a kind of "that's close enough I guess" attitude, but at 30 I think it's perfect actually. Lack of attraction has nothing to do with what feels good. There's nothing out of place about it to me these days.
I hadn't thought about that in years, no idea why it came to mind except I was also thinking of eighth grade me when I talked about my friends fucking off one by one to be with their partners. She wrote down the spelling, thanked me warmly for the talk, and returned to her typewriter.
I spent the next half an hour with a delightful Dyke who gave me a business card, on which her title was printed - no joke - "Lesbian Mayor of (neighborhood)." She was my parents' age and when she remarked with the utmost sincerity and approval that "you're kind of a weird big bang theory" I choked down the feeling of being directly assaulted and said hey, my dad watches that.
At some point Lisa finished her work on her typewriter. When I arrived it was fully light out, but by then it was getting dark. She stood in front of the bench where I was, fumbled on the phone light, and read to me what she had typed. And damn if the first two sentences didn't take me right the fuck out immediately. "I thought in middle school that if I was ever going to write a poem it would be an ode to Philotes," I had told her, a memory that comes with the affectionate sort of cringe reserved for your twelve year old self, earnest as they still were. And the same feeling came over me as she read the poem out to me - but it wasn't cringe I felt. It was the feeling that I had started something in 2005 that was only taking real shape nearly 20 years later.
I don't know if it's a "good" poem. That was never my strength. But it was written for me and for me, and the opening line "build me an effigy that transcends flesh" knocked the breath out of me immediately. I have the paper here beside me on the couch, and it feels like the kind of thing that goes in a treasure box, or maybe a frame.
I also had to remind her to give me her zelle so I could pay her - clearly also affected, she had turned to start on the next poem (a raunchy sex limerick as requested by a guy in a backward ball cap and boat shoes) and had forgotten entirely.
It's gonna overdraw my account when an auto payment hits next Wednesday, but honestly... Worth it. I just wish the fee would've gone to her instead of the bank.
Let people surprise you.

You want me to put a baby in you?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Idol!Yunho x Idol!OC
Summary: Jiwoo, 9th member of Ateez and also Yunho's girlfriend. After Ateez spent a whole day with four kids, at Hello82, teaching them dances, Jiwoo's baby fever skyrocketed.
cw/tw: Established relationship, suggestive, make-out sessions at worst || Short as fuck, might write more sometime if I come up with anything :)
Note: Might be based of Hello82 because it might have given me slight baby fever, as well as the guys being amazing with kids...
Tumblr media
Yunho and Jiwoo sat in the car on their way to the dorm. Yunho was tired from the day and Jiwoo was... busy with her own thoughts.
Her head was filled with kids. And how good Yunho was with kids. Jiwoo'd had been in the opposite team of Yunho and she'd been in total awe as her boyfriend spoke with a kid in a, a) language which wasn't his native languae, b) soft, gentle voice.
Hongjoong had laughed at her as he spotted her stupid look. He'd said that she's being "too obvious", despite the relationship going public, almost, as soon as it happpened.
A hand landed on her thigh. ''Penny for your thoughts?''
''Hm? Uh...'' Jiwoo smiled awkwardly. She didn't wanna tell him she had baby fever because he spoke to a child. ''Comeback''
Yunho hummed. ''Are you sure there's nothing else?'' He pushed slightly further. She lied, and he knew she lied. Jiwoo didn't like that he basically read her like an open book.
Jiwoo sighed. She didn't know what to say.
''Nevermind, you can tell me when you feel like it. No need to rush it'' Yunho took back his words as he realized how she became slightly uncomfortable with the question. He leaned across the backseat and pecked her cheek.
The woman smiled. How did she get such a perfect boyfriend? Why was he so understanding and nice and... him!
''Hey, wanna go to my place instead?'' Yunho asked. ''You seem tired... and you might need a break from the idiots''
Jiwoo chuckled. ''Yeah, sure''
Yunho: Jiwoo's had enough of you idiots for today
Yunho: We're heading to my place
Yunho: You don't happen to know what Jiwoo's thinking so hard about?
Hongjoong: Yeah, I absolutely know why but I ain't telling you about it
Hongjoong: Have fun ;))
Yunho looked at his phone in confusion. Why wouldn't Hongjoong tell him what was bothering his girlfriend.
She looked like she was in deep thought. And if it was bothering her, he wanted to help her relieve her mind.
The car stopped outside Yunho's private apartment. ''We're here''
Yunho looked up from his lap and smled. ''Thank you, Hajoon, see you tomorrow?''
''You know it''
The tall man got out of the car, got the bags from the trunk and waited for his lovely girlfriend to exit the car.
''I want alcohol'' Jiwoo mumbled as Yunho unlocked the front door. ''Do you have anything or can we run down to the corner shop?''
''I probably have some Soju, why do you wanna drink? Are you depressed?'' Yunho grabbed Jiwoo's face and looked her straight in the eye. ''Why won't you tell me what's on your tiny mind~''
''Because it's embarrassing~ you'll probably hear it in 20 minutes when I'm drunk''
Tumblr media
20 minutes later:
Yunho chuckled as Jiwoo spoke about something totally irrelevant. ''...and then Mingi had the audacity to call me short! Me, short?''
''I love you, but you are 5 feet, and he's 6 feet 1 inche, you're missing a foot and an inch''
Jiwoo turned to her boyfriend and narrowed her eyes at him. ''I am huge'' She stood up and crossed her arms. ''You're the tiny one, look'' She motioned to the man as he sat down on the couch while she stood up.
''Oh yeah, I'm the tiny one'' Yunho replied in an amused tone. He crossed his arms and leaned back in his seat.
''Yeah, look'' Jiwoo then proceeded to meassure the two with her hand, like one would do in kindergarten.
The man raised an eyebrow. He was very amused by his, now very drunk, girlfriend. He then proceeded to rise to his feet. ''I'm tiny'' He repeated with smirked as he towered over her with at least a foot and 2 inches.
''You're cheating'' Jiwoo stated with a shrug and sat back down. Yunho chuckled and took his seat next to her.
''Care to tell me what was on your mind earlier?'' He wrapped his arm around her smaller frame and pulled her closer. ''It seemed to take up about 90% of your attention''
''I want a baby'' Jiwoo pouted. Tears welled up in her eyes. Yes, she was the emotional drunk.
''You want a baby? Since when?'' Yunho laid his head on top of Jiwoo's as he spoke. He tried his best to not laugh as she cried slightly over the subject. ''You've never talked about kids before, why now?''
''I don't know'' She sobbed. ''I saw you with Lina and Jaiden-''
Yunho chuckled as he wrapped his arms around his sobbing girlfriend. ''Why are you crying?''
''I want a baby''
''We're busy with careers now, Princess'' Yunho held her face in his huge hands. He wiped away her tears with his thumbs, altough it didn't do much as they kept coming.
''But I want a baby'' Jiwoo pouted and sniffled slightly.
The man couldn't believe he even considered the idea. They were in the midst of their careers, they were at their peak. Not that he never wanted a family, and he was 25, but right now was not the best time.
It didn't make it better that he was head-over-heels for his girlfriend and would do almost anything to please her. Whatever she wanted he gave her.
''You want me to put a baby in you?'' Yunho raised an eyebrow. Jiwoo's tears immediately stopped flowing. She nodded. ''But what about our careers?'' He leaned closer. Why did she have to look so kissable right now?
''Chen-sunbaenim manages both''
''Yes, but his wife isn't an idol''
''But... we have each other?'' Jiwoo smiled innocently. She knew he was fighting himself in his head.
''You're gonna be the death of me'' Yunho mumbled and pressed his lips against hers. The woman was slighlty surprised, but was quick to follow his lead.
Yunho pushed her down, allowing her to lay on her back as he hovered above her. He rested his weight on his underarms while Jiwoo's hands were finding themselves tangled in his hair.
''Whatever my princess wants, she gets''

OBSERVER'S NOTE :
“ How interesting! I never manage to dig deep into Frederick myself, but he seems like an interesting fellow. His mannerisms do tend to contradict each other, although I won't lie, the music he composes is very nice to listen to.
Anyway, before I start rambling again, here it is, @tartalimispapas ! I hope that I didn't took too long writing this— believe me, people watching and observing him in matches and out of it can be conflicting, not to mention the chaos in the manor. It gives me a headache sometimes... ”
Tumblr media
Insomniac Troubles - Frederick Kreiburg
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are certain things that you have trouble with, even after living in the manor for as long as you've remembered.
One being that you have trouble with matches.
And the other being insomnia.
You were one of the few survivors in the manor that has trouble sleeping. It's almost like a curse for you, considering that it costs you during matches when you're being chased by the hunters. The amount of times Emily had to talk to you about your sleep schedule was also another thing, but you weren't going to tell her about your problem.
There were others that do share your pain in staying up late, like Naib, for instance. Aesop was also another survivor you've seen staying up due to this issue, but it seems that the two have managed to resolve it. How? You don't know.
You weren't exactly close to them, anyhow.
As you woke up once again, you found yourself lying in your bed, staring up at the ceiling. You've pondered if you could even ask anyone for help on this matter. Although you aren't close with the others, you at least know that some wouldn't mind helping you, like Emily or even Ada.
...
They must surely be asleep, though. I should find a way to tire myself out without disturbing them.
With that thought in mind, you pushed yourself out of the bed, perhaps so to get your body moving. It could be a double-edged sword for you and you could end up feeling more active finding ways to tire yourself out, but in your mind, it'll be worth the effort.
All you have to do is find a way to get tired and lull yourself to sleep. That's it.
...
...
...
It has been 20 minutes when you got out of the room to walk around the area, your body still in that sluggish state. It was a bit difficult for you to really do much, and the rooms you've visited were empty.
A sure sign that no one is awake.
It was making you feel more and more tired, which may sound good... But no, it wasn't in the sense that you want to head back and sleep in your room. It was more to the fact you're getting more and more annoyed at seeing no one around to help you sleep.
People often talked about how they feel cranky when they wake up, and now, you can understand why they would say that.
The more you walked around, the more the frustration seem to build up. At this point, if you can't find somewhere to keep your mind occupied, you'd—
...
A song seem to echo on the hall as you stepped in, making you stop in your tracks.
It sounded... Faint, yes, but nice. Almost enchanting.
For a moment, you debated investigating what was up. There were certain things you aren't so certain, and especially with thinking who is playing music in such an hour. Maybe it was someone haunting the halls at this time with how enchanting it is, or maybe it is something else and you aren't aware of?
Well, it could be those things, or it can be a musician- Antonio was unable to play the piano, that you knew, but... Who else, then?
...
Ahh, this will keep you up at night. Maybe it's best you investigate what is going on, then.
With a new task in mind, you went off to see what it was. The music was still playing, so in that sense, maybe you will be able to figure out who it is and even ask if they can tell you what song it is.
Although, while the song was playing, the creaks of the floorboards sounded like it wasn't there as you went to investigate. Alongside that, it also helped you feel more and more at ease— the song was played beautifully, each note sounding like they belong in its rightful place, and even down to its various pauses and dips of its tone.
Safe to say, it was enchanting.
You stumbled a few times when you reached the room where it was being played, the melody growing louder and louder. It feels like it was pulling you in its embrace, and it didn't help but amplify it's effects when you stepped in the room.
It seems you have ended up in the ballroom, the instruments laid aside on the side of the stage. Although the place was devoid of life, you could tell someone was playing the piano from their place.
As you turned your gaze into the sight of the piano, you couldn't help but see the man that was playing.
The light from the lantern showed you his features: his platinum blonde hair was styled in a low ponytail, strands framing his face evenly while his eyes were focused onto the sheet. He didn't even have his pink coat with him, opting to wear a white dress shirt as he played the song on the piano.
The melody simply continued on as you felt your body sway, your footsteps growing lighter as you listlessly went over to listen. Although, you didn't expect him to stop playing to turn and see you.
...
Ah.
This is awkward.
You both stared in place as the music came to a sudden stop, the silence enveloping you both in a rather... Tense grip. You felt like the previous drowsiness you had vanish, only to be replaced with the chill and embarrassment of being found out.
Uh oh.
You hesitated for a moment before you turned around to leave, mumbling a "sorry", but you paused when the musician coughed.
"... Sorry, did you hear me play?"
His voice sounded soft and melodic, much like his song, you noted. Though, you did turned back to face him before nodding.
"Yes. It sounds... Nice, though," you answered, giving him a smile in return. "Can you play it again?" you asked, taking one step forward as you watched his reaction.
He paused, perhaps... Debating on whether to continue. After a while, he nodded and gestured for you to sit down, raising his hands to continue playing.
As he began to play the song, the room began to fill with the melody you heard when you were looking for something to tire yourself out. As he continued to play, you observed his reaction.
The way his eyes seem to flutter close as he continued to play, the smile stretching to his lips as he seem lost in his world, and even down to his fingers glide through the keys of the instrument.
It was mesmerizing. Captivating, even.
And it roped you in.
It didn't took long until you felt your body sway, your eyes fluttering close as the song reached it's peak bit by bit. Letting out a soft yawn, you relaxed and leaned onto the instrument, a smile stretching your lips.
No word can describe the feeling you had listening to his song, and for once, you didn't have to.
The moment the song's conclusion came, Frederick's fingers lifted itself from the keys, his eyes opening to turn towards where you've been seated. He could've said something, but he stopped upon seeing the relaxed look on your face.
Ah...
The fact that you fell asleep while listening to him play was... Surprising. Was the song so good, or were you that tired when you got to the ballroom?
He didn't knew. But maybe he can ask you tomorrow, when you both meet again.
The composer moved to stand up from his spot in the piano, and with a swift turn, he leaned down to grab one of your arms to wrap around him. The other free hand reached over for the lantern, just so that he wouldn't trip over anything in the dark.
With that, he trudged on to the survivor's wing, sealing a sleepless night such as this on a positive note.

writer questions meme: 8, 13, 20 if you please
13. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?
It wasn't explicitly writing advice, but I can tell you where I learned what my specific style would be. There was a fic in the Dresden Files fandom called "Cross" by LightGetsIn. LGI was a tremendous writer and a very kind mentory-friend who I attended my first fan convention with. Extremely accomplished adult who I looked up to when I was barely an adult.
"Cross" is a story about the limitations of perspective. It was the first story that really drove home the idea that Character A would not have the same knowledge and understanding of the world as Character B.
In "Cross", the POV character is John Marcone, a non-magical mafia boss who is deeply entrenched in the magical world. He has a lot of factual knowledge of how magic works, but he's an Italian-American Catholic. So when he's pulled into doing magical rites to bring another character back to life, he specifically doesn't pick up on the more pagan symbology of what he's doing, but filters it through a Guilty Catholic filter. Hence the name of the fic, "Cross."
And that story, which isn't even my favorite LGI story, probably taught me the most about how to write Close Perspective Third Person, which is my default style. When I'm writing in a characters POV, I rigorously limit what the POV character knows and picks up on. I will plant clues and information that the audience will understand, but the connections a character makes, the reference pools they pull from, their morality and ethics, all of those inform that POV, and what you and I know does not.
That is probably the most important lesson I've ever had in creating my own writing method.
20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.
8 hours of sleep, small breakfast snack like a croissant, decaf beverage, one dextroamphetamine, and no one fucking talk to me for about 2 - 4 hours. I will write 4,000 words.
8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
Lets put this under a cut, and I'll give you some DVD commentary. This is from chapter 2 of you'll need a new name to survive this. It's the point where Benji realizes Ethan is stalking him and does that trick to lose him in the bookshop, then sits outside waiting for him.
Only five minutes later, the door opened, and Bell took one step out before freezing, his eyes falling on Benji.
Got you, Benji thought with a sharp little smile. "You didn't even buy a book? Bit rude."
One of the goals of the early chapters of PT AU was establishing Benji's character as boldly as possible because we were essentially telling a story that canon does not. This is YEARS before MI3, where Benji gets two gd scenes.
To me, the tightrope walk was that I wanted Benji to have a reasonable grip on authority, to be shiny and new and out of his depth but still empowered because of his accomplishments. He has managed to land a good job working for the US government, he successfully emigrated before he was 30 years old, he has an apartment and a cat, he's new to everything in the spy world but he also has a steel spine that frankly he's fucking earned.
Which is a long-winded way of saying that Benji is a bitch and I love him so much.
Bell's face was blank, but Benji could almost feel how fast his brain was moving, weighing his options. Eventually, he settled on huffing out a little chuckle and stepping closer to Benji. "Hi."
Meanwhile, Ethan. MI1-era Ethan is very very smart but very very traumatised. His skillset is rooted in controlling people and predicting them. So Benji, a fucking civilian, catching him off-guard like this is like waving a red flag at a bull. Or dangling a steak over a lion enclosure. Benji doesn't know it yet but he's setting himself up to be a tasty treat for Ethan Hunt circa the late 90s.
"Are you going to kill me or something?" Benji asked. "Is that your spook job, are you a hitman?"
The flash of expression on Bell's face was offended. (This makes me laugh every time. Ethan Hunt is not a killer unless he absolutely must be and he will go out of his way to avoid it. Being an assassin is gross and he doesn't want to be perceived at all bc he's a spy but if he MUST be perceived jfc don't assume he's a HITMAN) "What, no. I just…" Grimacing, he looked away, eyes scanning the other pedestrians around them. "Okay, I'm screwing this up, I can admit that. Can we talk somewhere private?"
Benji didn't even have to think about it. "We can talk somewhere public."
Benji is never going to be an IMF agent but his instincts are wildly correct. And that knowledge comes from a different place! He was a gay punk rock vagabond who dropped out of law school, he knows how to keep out of trouble. He is probably the guy who told his other punk friends "if you are arrested do not say a goddamn thing, just ask for your public defender, don't joke, don't be a smartarse, keep your mouth shut."
The smile that took over Bell's face was lovely, transforming his whole face from storm clouds to something more seasonal. "That's honestly a very smart answer, doc. C'mon, there's a bakery nearby. I'll buy you a coffee. Least I can do."
It really was, so Benji nodded and followed him.
They didn't speak until Bell opened the glass door to another shop and held it open for Benji.
"Wrong hand," Benji said, noticing the small wince Bell let out.
"Inside, doc."
If it isn't obvious, all of the observational skills Benji has canonically have been funneled into his preternatural observation of patients.
Basically, if Benji as a character has a specific set of SPECIAL stats, all of those are the same, he just has different tagged skills in this universe.
Canon Benji is probably.... Guns, Science, and Repair. PT Benji has Medicine, Barter, Speech.
"Not a doctor," Benji said. "You know I'm not a doctor."
"What do you want to drink, doc?"
Ethan is being purposefully annoying and I could write a whole post about Ethan's soft power and the way he manipulates people, but that'd be another post. Short version: some people you seduce, some people you act like a wounded gazelle at, and some people you annoy.
Inside the bakery was loud. It was a strangely open floor plan. A long pastry case cordoned off the seating area for the customers. On the other side was just… the bakery. There were ovens and industrial mixers and rolling racks of cooling bread. In the corner, the espresso machine howled with noise as the milk frother worked.
It smelled divine, like living inside a baguette during a spring shower of dark roast coffee.
It also was a constant racket, which Benji mentioned to Bell as he sat down and slid a dark tea with vanilla syrup across to Benji.
"That's the point," Bell said, slouching back in his chair. "It's very difficult to eavesdrop in here."
Well, he wasn't wrong. Looking to another occupied table nearby, Benji briefly tried to pick out a word of what was being said by the woman seated closest to him. Nothing.
"Right, then," Benji said, attention back on Bell. "Why are you following me?"
"Why?" Bell seemed taken aback.
One of the many moments in the early chapters that establish that Ethan's perception of Normal is not anything approaching actual normal.
"Yes, why."
"Normal intelligence collection."
"On your physical therapist?" Benji asked with a barked laugh.
"Yeah." Bell leaned on his elbows, one hand cupping his own jaw and holding his head up as he made uncomfortably direct eye contact. "You really don't know who I am? Or why some of the appointments on your calendar come with no information?"
Pursing his lips, Benji shook his head.
Blowing out a whistle through his teeth, Bell grinned. "Sorry, that's just… it's new. I'm surprised Dr. Falsion didn't clue you in, but I guess she's not technically supposed to." Lifting his mug, he looked down into it. "People do shit they're not technically supposed to all the time in this town."
Ethan's major trauma at this point is being targeted by Kittridge and the Mole Hunt, and his trust in people to do their jobs is at a critical low that it'll never recover from.
"I don't even know your name," Benji sighed, sipping his own drink. It didn't taste at all like iocaine powder, so he was probably safe for the moment.
Bell rested his temple against the knuckles of his hand, his gaze so intense that Benji didn't know how to look away without making it patently obvious he was unsettled. Whatever Bell saw, it made his lips curve up slight. "Alright. Yeah. My name is Ethan. I work for an organization that shouldn't legally exist, so that's why you don't get anything on me. Even CIA jackboots manipulating local governments are realer than I am." He blinked once. "Also, I was an unprofessional shitheel last session, and I apologize."
Ethan apologizes here because Benji has earned his respect. And also by earning his respect, Ethan is also aware that Benji is not going to be so easy to maneuver around, so he fesses up that he was a prick, softly setting up a different tactic with Benji.
Benji felt his eyes going wider and wider with every sentence until it was a little hard to breathe. So his patient wasn't the American equivalent of an MI5 or MI6 so much as an MI8?
That did sort of start to explain what a pain in the ass he was.
"Shame," Benji managed after a moment of sitting fairly gobsmacked. "I was getting attached to 'Bell.' But I appreciate… all that. Thanks." He frowned. "Are you saying all this because you're actually sorry or are you sick of being stonewalled?"
Benji has a much more cynical mind than Ethan is the funny thing. Benji gets arguably more accurate reads on people than Ethan does. Or, Ethan gets accurate reads but he is continuously poisoned by the hope that people will be better than he expects. So FUNCTIONALLY, Ethan is an optimist and Benji is a realist.
Bell— Ethan— grinned. "That's a very good question. You actually have great instincts, doc. You did a surprisingly good job of shaking me when I was tailing you, especially for a civilian."
One of my favorite running gags is Benji being impossible to tail, so I'm glad we really drove it home the first time it happened. I love consistency in longfic.
"Again: thanks. Don't suppose you'll answer my other question?"
Ethan sipped his coffee, his smile visible around the edge of his cup.
"Right," Benji sighed. At least this felt like progress. And at least he probably wasn't going to be disappeared by a government assassin. That was a relief.
So this entire bit is Ethan reassessing Benji and pivoting his methods and tactics, setting up for a better way of handling Benji. And also being kind of charmed by him.

Marty stood at the curb, patiently waiting for her guardian to arrive. Her backpack was at her feet, something she opted to ditch when her back began to ache. She pulled her phone from her pocket to check the time, frowning when she saw that Optimius was supposed to pick her up 20 minutes ago.
She couldn't be angry at him. He had more important things to tend to than her, but she would have at least liked notice.
A familiar rumble of an Autobot's engine reached the Marty's ears, but it wasn't her Autobot.
Bumblebee rolled up to the curb, buzzing kindly as he opened the door for her. Though Marty couldn't understand his speech, she had a feeling he was telling her Optimius was busy.
"Thanks for the pickup," she said as she grabbed her backpack and climbed it. "I take it Raf is at the base?"
Bee buzzed in confirmation as he pulled away, driving towards the base.
Marty sighed softly, staring out the window. It wasn't uncommon for a Bot besides one of their guardians to pick them up, mostly when their main protector was busy. But the past few weeks, Marty had been finding ways to entertain herself around the base and getting rides from the other Bots. Optimius was busy leading the team in a targeted campaign against several Decepticon Energon mines they had located.
She wasn't upset, but she would be lying if she said she didn't miss her guardian.
                            )()()()()(
"Prime!" Agent Fowler's voice erupted from the computer, demanding the presence of the Autobot leader. "Prime!"
"Special Agent Fowler?" Optimius asked as he made his way towards the computer system. He had just returned from scouting an Energon mine with Bulkhead. "To what do we owe–"
"What else? Cons!" Fowler declared. "I chased them off with some hard ordinance, but not before they blew me out of the sky."
Miko sniggered. "Again?"
Marty smirked and looked back at the screen, leaning against the rail of the catwalk with the other kids.
"They tried to make a smash-and-grab for the DNGS."
Arcee cocked her head to the side. "The... what's it?"
"Dynamic nuclear generation system," Fowler clarified. "A.K.A. DNGS. It's a prototype energy source I'm porting to the coast for testing."
"Pfft! That's absurd," Ratchet huffed. "Why would Starscream bother with such primitive technology?"
"I'm guessing to make a big, fat, primitive weapon of mass destruction," Fowler told him. "If this baby were to melt down, it would irradiate this state and the four next door."
"Uh... Did Agent Fowler say what state he was currently in?" Raf asked nervously.
"I'm a sitting duck here, Prime," Fowler continued. "I need you to spin up your bridge and send the DNGS to it's destination before the Cons come back for it."
Marty looked at her guardian. She could see the gears turning in his head as he mulled over the situation. Yet what most would take several minutes of thought, took Optimius seconds.
"I'm afraid that sending such a volatile device through a ground bridge is out of the question," he said. "If there were to be an accident during it's transmission, the radiation of which you speak could propagate through the ground bridge vortex and harm all 50 states, and beyond."
Fowler frowned, trying to find another solution. "You got any better ideas?"
                           )()()()()(
At the crash site of Agent Fowler's jet, the Autobots readied in vehicle form. Optimius had a trailer, ready to haul the DNGS. Fowler sat in the driver's seat with a grin of a child in a candy store. He reached for the wheel, but was quickly cut off by Optimius.
"Ah! No need, Agent Fowler," he ordered. "I will handle the driving."
Fowler folded his arms, a dispute scowl on his face. "It's gonna be a long trip."
Marty snickered from the passenger seat (something Miko was incredibly envious of).
"Autobots, roll out!" Optimius ordered as he pulled out onto the road.
Marty stared out the window as they drove. Bumblebee and Bulkhead were bringing up the rear, acting as inconspicuous guards for their nuclear cargo. A small huff turned the brunette's attention to Fowler, who still had his arms folded.
"Fowler, are you... pouting?" Marty asked with a chuckle.
"Of course not!" He snapped back. "I'm a high functioning government agent with assignments you couldn't even begin to comprehend."
Marty raised an eyebrow, her expression saying how little she cared.
"Why are you even here?" Fowler asked in frustration. "The other kids stayed behind."
"Martha's logic and reasoning is useful in these situations," the cabin rumbled with Optimius' voice. "And her ability to remain clear-headed under stress is something we may require if things go awry."
A ghost of smile graced Marty's lips. She knew Optimius was trying to make up for lost time. She returned her gaze back to the window, watching as the mountainous landscape of Colorado passed by.
"We're locked on to your coordinates, Optimius," Ratchet told them. "Baring any complications, you should reach the drop-off point by sundown."
"Sounds good, Ratch," Marty answered, leaning back against her seat.
The mountain road was surprisingly wide, perfect for traveling. They passed few cars, but one in particular caught Marty's eye.
There was a family inside, and their sedan was obviously packed for a camping trip. Parents sat in the front, the mother pointing to a map while the father waved her off. Marty had seen such things in movies, but she never realized it was a real. In the backseat, two kids stared blankly out the windows, but they perked up when they saw Optimius– or at least his vehicle mode.
One of the kids, a little boy, pulled his arm in a pumping motion. Marty smiled, knowing what they were signing.
"Hey, Optimius," the brunette started. "could you honk your horn?"
He did as she requested, earning wide grins from the kids in the car. The dad spilled his coffee on his lap, earning more laughter from them.
Marty chuckled.
"Martha,"
The brunette snapped her attention to the baritone voice surrounding her. "Sorry, what did you say?"
"No need to apologize," Optimius assured her. "I was merely asking why you wanted me to sound my horn."
Fowler chuckled. "You really are from another planet, aren't you?"
Marty rolled her eyes at the agent before turning her attention to the Autobot insignia on the steering wheel. "It's a human thing. When people on road trips pass semi trucks, they signal them to honk their horns."
Optimius hummed in thought. "Human culture never ceases to amaze me."
Marty leaned back against the seat. The hum of the engine was soft in her ears. She was very comfortable, more than she had been in a while.
Her hazel eyes began to droop, but she promptly snapped them open.
The rearview mirror shifted slightly, a tell tale sign that Optimus' attention was on her now. "You can rest if you so desire, Little One," the Prime told her.
"Thanks, Optimius. But I'm not tire–" a loud yawn from her own mouth betrayed her. A heavy drowsiness settled over her. "Okay, maybe I'm a little tired."
"Perhaps," Optimius remarked, a teasing tone in his voice.
Marty folded her arms, resting her cheek against the seatbelt. "Don't patronize me."
In response the seatbelt tightened, allowing for a more firm resting place for her head. Marty smiled softly, giving the strap a small tug before drifting off to sleep.
                        )()()()()(
A loud horn jolted Marty out of her sleep. "Ahh!"
Bleary eyed and confused, she turned to see Fowler slamming his palm on the wheel. "Move it, Gramps!"
In front of them on the road was an old rusty rusty pickup truck. It veered to the right, driving onto the shoulder to let them pass.
Fowler continued to blare the horn until Optimius finally stopped him. "Agent Fowler," the Prime sounded exasperated. "Is that really necessary?"
The agent scowled. "Ah, don't tell me you're on of them textbook drivers," he folded his arms and glared out the window. "Hmph."
Marty reached under her glasses, rubbing her eyes with her finger tips. A small groan escaped her as she processed the trauma of waking up.
Fowler, having gotten over his frustration, turned back to the dash. "Y'know, you're saving my bacon here, Prime."
"I am proud to be of service," replied Optimius.
Marty glanced at Fowler. "Huh," she didn't think she had it in him to say something nice.
"Course, not like I needed your help if you and the Cons had stuck to tearing up your own corner of the galaxy," he added.
Marty groaned. "And there it is."
"Are you suggesting that no evil existed on your world before we arrived?" Optimius asked, his tone slightly challenging.
Fowler paused. "Well, it was a... A different evil."
Marty scoffed. "Yeah, right. Evil is evil, don't try to paint it any other way."
The agent shifted uncomfortably. "How about some radio?" He asked, trying to change the subject. "You seem like a Nashville-sound kind of guy."
Marty hummed. "Finally, something we agree on."
The sound of blades whirring reached Marty's ears. She looked in the rearview mirror to see a green helicopter behind them. It was flying low, she noticed.
"That's the one!" Fowler said suddenly. "The Con who shot me down? Who is he?" He turned to Marty. "Wingnut? Dingbat? Skyguy??"
"Watch your rearviews," Bulkhead warned as his voice clicked through the walkie-talkie.
Marty frowned upon seeing several green cars surround the wrecker.
"Feeling a little constricted without the use of my fists here, boss," Bulkhead said.
"Remain in vehicular mode unless absolutely necessary," Optimius ordered.
Marty raised her brows in surprise when she saw one of the cars pass them on the shoulder and slide in front of Bumblebee. The scout tried to pass it, but it wouldn't allow him.
"A whole team of Cons," Fowler murmured.
"What?" Ratchet asked. "I'm not picking up on anything. They must be utilizing a cloaking technology."
But Cons have never cared about delicate operations, Marty remembered. Why wouldn't they just try a smash-and-grab like Fowler described them doing before?
One of the cars drove parallel to Optimius. The roof opened and out came a man holding a gun. "Pull over!" He ordered.
"What–!" Marty had never expected this. Not in a million years.
Fowler's mouth hung open as he stared at their attacker. "Well, I'll be dipped!"
"Our assailants are not Decepticons– They are human," Optimius commed the team back at base.
"Who are these guys?" Marty asked as she glanced out her window.
"Autobots, maintain your cover," Optimius ordered. "and apply minimal force. Disarmament only."
Optimius swerved along the mountain side, staying from as far from the edge as possible. The seatbelt around Marty tightened, pinning her to the seat. Fowler, however, swayed with the movement and was looking worse for wear.
He choked down a gag. "Could use some air."
Optimius rolled down the window for him, allowing the agent to rest his head in the open breeze.
"Are you seriously doing that?!" Marty asked as she gripped the seat.
Fowler sat up, a concerned look on his face. "I'm going out there," he proclaimed.
"You're what!?" Marty's voice cracked as she yelled at the agent, but he had already opened the door and climbed out.
Marty moved to see what Fowler was doing, but the seatbelt held her in place. She craned her neck as far as it would go and found Fowler grabbing one of the masked men by the back of his neck. We
"You're gonna tell me everything I want to kno–" Fowler stopped abruptly when the man was ripped from his grasp and was sent tumbling down the road.
This was real. Marty watched, worry painted across her normally indifferent expression. Fowler climbed back in, buckling his seatbelt with a grave look on his face.
The silence was palpable, but it didn't last for long.
"I do hope you take better care of the DNGS than you do your captives," a man's voice taunted from the walkie-talkie.
Fowler grabbed it vigorously, holding to his mouth. "Special Agent William Fowler here. Identify yourself!"
"I am Silas," said the man. "But of greater consequence to you, we are MECH. Fair warning– We will be helping ourselves to your device, even if it means inflicting casualties."
Marty's grip on the seat tightened as Fowler growled into the radio.
"Tell me, Si, what's the market price for a DNGS these days?"
"What makes you think we intend to sell it, Agent Fowler?" Silas asked.
Fowler's expression dropped as he glanced at Marty.
"There's a war brewing between the new world order and the newest. The victor will be the side armed with the most innovative technology."
Marty watched in the rearview mirror as a mask man fired his weapon at the trailer, opening the hatch. The DNGS was back there, but so was a surprise.
"So, Si..." A smirk found its way to Fowler's face. "You think MECH has the most radical tech?"
Just then, Arcee burst out of the trailer, taking out several cars in her vehicle form. Marty's eyes widened with awe as she watched the explosion from the mirror.
"Later, Si," Fowler clicked off the radio with a smug grin.
"Agent Fowler, do not take your 'Silas' lightly," Optimius warned. "Megatron preached the same ideology before plunging Cybertron into the great war that destroyed our world."
"Optimius," Ratchet clicked on the comms. "prepare to initiate phase 2. Five miles ahead to the South, you will reach the rendezvous point."
                             )()()()()(
"There it is," Marty said when the train tracks came into view. They ran along the road, slightly lower after a drop.
"Autobots, keep a tight formation," Optimius ordered.
Arcee jumped off the road to drive beside the tracks, the others following. MECH did too, but they couldn't know what they had planned.
They entered a tunnel, headlights clicking on as they drove alongside the train. Bulkhead transformed and quickly destroyed the entrance before the MECH cars could follow.
Marty watched as Bee transformed and jumped on to a specific train car, tapping on the door to be greeted by a soldier. Bulkhead climbed on to the car as the trailer's walls folded down. Arcee took the DNGS and handed it to Bulk, who handed it to Bee, who set it inside the car.
The brunette smiled to herself, proud of how smoothly the plan went. Even if MECH was unexpected.
As they left the tunnel and drove back onto the road, Marty couldn't help but notice that the helicopter was still following them.
"Uh, Optimius?" She worried. "What do we do about Silas?"
Before her guardian could answer, several jets appeared in the sky.
Fowler glanced out his window. "Air support? Ours or theirs?"
"Optimius, you have company!" Ratchet warned.
Just then, the jets fired their missiles.
"Cons!" Marty cried as she gripped her seatbelt. Optimius swerved hard, detatching the trailer, as the missiles made contact with the earth and destroyed the trailer.
Fowler yelped as Optimius and the Autobots stopped at the edge of a cliff. The jets fell from the sky, transforming into their bipedal form. Marty realized that the Decepticons didn't care that other humans were watching, and it put the Bots at risk.
"Agent Fowler, Martha," Optimius said. "I'm afraid that if you and we are to survive, it has become absolutely necessary to drop our cover."
Marty nodded. Fowler's eyes widened, and before he could say anything, he and the brunette were sitting in Optimus' hands. When her eyes adjusted, Marty saw Fowler trying not to throw up, for the second time that day.
Optimius set the two humans on the edge of the cliff wall. "Remain here."
"Will do," Fowler adjusted himself, still looking slightly pale.
Marty turned her attention to the Bots, watching as they fought the Cons. She furrowed her brow, her mind racing with the location of the DNGS and the battle before her.
The radio in Fowler's hand clicked, and Silas' voice crackled through. "Special Agent Fowler, you and your young friend lead a charmed life walking among titans."
Marty looked up at the circling helicopter, bringing her hand to her forehead to block out the sun.
"Come on down," Fowler dared. "I'll introduce you."
"In good time. But at the moment I'm too busy wondering how the DNGS might have vanished into thin air without a trace. Now, if you'll excuse me... I have a train to catch."
The helicopter flew off in the same direction as the tracks. Marty gasped. "He knows!"
Fowler cursed under his breath and brought the radio up. "Prime! Silas got wise to phase 2!"
Optimius glanced over at them from the battle and nodded. "I understand."
CLANG!
A Con used a log to hit him in the face, sending him flying.
"Optimius!" Marty cried as she watched her guardian fall down the cliff and out of sight.
"Prime, do you read me?" Fowler said into the radio. "Prime?!"
Marty ran her hands through her hair, struggling to find a solution. "Okay, okay, okay," she took a breath and reached into her pocket, pulling out her phone.
"Ratchet," she said into the speaker. "Optimius is down and MECH's gonna grab the DNGS."
"We need to think of something," Jack muttered.
"You mean like a phase 3?" Asked Raf.
Marty bit her lip, as she forced her brain to form coherent thought. "Come on, think," an idea popped in. "Alright, if MECH wants the DNGS, they have to get on that train."
"What if we get on board first?" Miko asked. "Y'know, run some human-on-human interference?"
"Absolutely not!" Ratchet declared.
"Yeah, that would be suicide," Jack agreed.
"I don't hear any better ideas!" Marty growled. "Lives are at stake, Ratchet!'
"Yes–yours!" He snapped back. "You want me to not only bridge you into a confined space, but one traveling at 90 miles per hour?! I can't even count the number of ways that can go wrong," he did so anyways. "Mass-displacement trauma, twisted limbs, metal burn... Well, maybe not the last one. Regardless, it is nearly impossible to fix ground bridge coordinates on something moving at that speed."
Marty was about to bite back, but the sound of Raf's voice stopped her.
"Would it help if we had access to the train's coordinates?"
Marty nodded. "Ratchet, bridge me to the train."
                             )()()()()(
Marty stepped out of the vortex to find Miko and Jack waiting for her, the latter with his phone ready. An unconscious soldier was lying on the floor next to the DNGS, his gun beside him. The brunette looked at the other teens in surprise.
"What, you thought you were gonna fight them off on your own?" Miko asked with her signature grin.
Marty replied with a huffed chuckle, but that stopped when she heard the sound of helicopter blades. Jack peeked his head out the door before raising his phone to his ear.
"Raf, MECH's landing on top of the train."
"In about 20 seconds, you're gonna come to a fork. Brace yourself," the boy told them.
The train shifted, but the helicopter lurched away. It wasn't long before the sound of blades increased, and the sparks from a cutting device on the roof.
"So what'd that buy us?" Jack asked. "10 seconds?"
Miko winced. "Raf is losing his touch."
Marty glanced around, searching for something to fend off MECH with. Her gaze landed on the soldier's gun.
She grabbed it.
"Do you know how to fire that thing?" Jack asked.
Marty fumbled with it, struggling to hold it. "No..." She whined.
Miko nodded, grabbing a fire axe. Jack grabbed a fire extinguisher, the only other weapon around.
The square in the ceiling fell through, revealing two masked men with weapons.
Marty's hands shook as her finger neared the trigger.
"Do you wanna slice of this?!" Miko swing the axe defiantly. "Well, do ya?!"
Jack aimed the fire extinguisher. "What she said."
Suddenly, MECH left, taking the men with them. Marty frowned. What was going on?
Jack dropped his weapon, looking out the door. Miko followed suit, grabbing his arm. "You're pretty fierce," she teased.
Marty couldn't bring herself to smirk, she was too concerned about the smoke rising in the distance. Then it hit her.
She snagged the phone from Jack. "Ratchet, MECH blew the train tracks. You need to bridge us out if here– the soldiers too."
"We've lost access to the train data!" Replied the medic. "I can't bridge you back without your coordinates!"
The three teens stood in the train car, worrying over what to do.
"Maybe we should jump?" Miko suggested.
Jack scoffed. "At 90 miles an hour?"
The pink haired girl shrugged. "It's the impact or the meltdown. Take your pick."
Jack let out a sigh. "What were we thinking volunteering for this?"
"Next time, you need to do a better job of talking us out of these situations," Miko snarked.
A sinking feeling settled in Marty's stomach. "Next time..."
"We can buy ourselves another few seconds if we're in the back of the train, right?" Miko asked.
Jack glanced at the two girls. "At least we're in this together."
Miko looked at Marty before snatching Jack's phone from her hand. "Raf, this is important! Make sure Bulkhead gets my guitar."
Just then –in a flash of red and blue– Optimius drove past.
Hope climbed inside Marty. "Don't read the will just yet."
As Optimius passed the train, he transformed and grabbed on. He groaned as he dug his heels into the ground, trying to halt the train. Metal screeched and pulled painfully, but finally the train halted just before the tracks ended.
Optimius stood up straight, glancing back at the kids. Martha, Miko, and Jack were all safe and alive. The latter two were already talking about something pertaining to their situation. Martha looked up at him with an expression he had never seen before; something akin to fear.
Her hazel gaze drifted to the sky. When Optimius followed it, he found the helicopter belonging to Silas circling them before flying off.
"Optimius," Ratchet's voice clicked on over the comm. "are you and the children... intact?"
"Intact, Ratchet," the Prime answered. "Crisis averted. But the world in which we live is a different one than we previously imagined. One which has spawned its own Decepticons... In human skin."

How many languages do you know?
💕 english is my first language but i speak both spanish and english at home! i've been studying spanish for 20+ years, i speak spanish exclusively with my husbands' family (they only speak spanish!), and am comfortable getting my point across on most everyday-life things. i read in spanish for fun/to study (i forced my husband to read la sociedad de la nieve with me when we both got obsessed with the movie on netflix, even though he's not a reader at all haha), and we have a house rule about always watching movies in the language in which they were created EXCEPT FOR SHREK, which we both agree is extremely well done and just as funny (if not even funnier) in spanish. we do a lot of code-switching for the most part, and whenever we have kids, we'll follow the One Parent One Language plan, except for when we're out at restaurants, because we always ONLY speak spanish while going out to eat, it's just habit at this point. 😂 i once tried to write fic in spanish back in the early 2010s while living in spain but i felt that i didn't have all the vocab that i needed to give my writing the same vibe as in my first language, so i haven't tried writing fic in spanish since... (maybe i should??) for now i content myself with reading larivera's (@laurakrivera) spanish fic!! however, my academic!professional!spanish is much more developed than my fic!spanish writing style, lol, so when i publish my non-fiction book in english, i will work on writing the spanish translations myself (and force my husband to help me lmao)
i learned japanese fundamentals (e.g., basic vocab/phrases, word order, hiragana, katakana, some core kanji) when i was 12 (like most inuyasha-obsessed kids, maybe?? 🤣) and i learned a LOT when i lived there for a year and a half as an adult! but i never took any formal classes, it was all self-taught and in the streets (LITERALLY lmao, shoutout to the people of tokyo). i wasn't allowed to speak japanese at all in my job, so i turned to apps like hellotalk to practice and make friends who really wanted to engage in language exchange. (duolingo didn't add japanese as a language option until after i came back! 🤣😭) so i was just out there in the wild, picking it all up as i went along. i understand a lot more than i can speak, but i could probably hold a pretty convincing conversation with someone for 2 minutes before it became clear that i'd exhausted my limited repertoire. 🤣 i'd get by with a lot of discourse markers and reaction expressions and いいね! and 本当に!? and そうですね 😊 before i fell off the track completely lol.
i did 3 months of german on duolingo to prepare for a conference i presented at in austria a few years ago! helped with everyday basics, but i'm not currently investing in this language right now since i don't have many opportunities to use it in daily life like i do my other languages.
also just started learning korean literally five days ago. still working on the vowels. 🤣 i'm learning for friends, for potential work opportunities, for K-POP joking joking or am i, and also i'm a big believer in the philosophy of keeping the mind fresh and getting excited about Being "Bad" at Something every once in a while, as i purposefully Try New Things to ward off complacency, keep my brain happy and sharp, and remind myself that i can Do Hard Things. (of course, once you start to learn so many languages, your metalinguistic and metacognitive pattern-seeking skills really kick in, so approaching korean is a lot different than how it was in my other language learning experiences, so far 🤣) stay tuned, i guess haha!!
i guess you can see why i'm so obsessed with the idea of elsa being a serial polyglot/multilingual queen in basically every universe i write her in, not only because it fits with her upbringing/education/oryal duties but also i feel like elsa would appreciate all instances in life in which she could exert control over her surroundings by finding patterns and "rules" in languages and finding beauty in expressing so many meanings through so many different avenues when she herself had so much trouble expressing herself at all for so long should i write a one-shot about elsa's multilingualism as it pertains to NO KRIS NO STOP YOU HAVE WORK NOW KRIS NO

Day 20: design
If Taako sentenced himself to going to Lup's hockey games, the least he could do for himself is talk to the hot guy that's there.
Read it on AO3
The unfortunate thing about being the world's best brother, is that whenever his sister pulls out the elongated “pleaaaaaaaaase?” Taako just can't say no. Which is how he found himself sentenced to spending at least an hour every Sunday in a room full of ice for the foreseeable future. Why Lup had to get into hockey of all things, he'll never understand. But she asked him to come, because she wants somebody in the stands, and Barry's schedule changed recently, so now, a month into the season, Taako's gotta do it. At least he's allowed to leave immediately after the game.
He walks into the arena and inhales sharply. “Jesus fucking christ.” He shoves his hands into his pockets. It's illegally cold in here. He knew Lup was full of shit when she said ice rinks “aren't that bad.”
He scans the pathetically sparse stands. Not a ton of people willing to come out to low-tier women's hockey at noon on a Sunday. There is, however, someone who catches his eye.
Sitting in the back row is tall, dark, and handsome personified. He's wearing a black wool trench coat and leather gloves, one of which he's pulled off as he scrolls on his phone. Taako casually beelines for him.
“This seat taken?”
The man of Taako's dreams looks up, surprise on his handsome face. “No!” He says a little too quickly and a little too loudly. He clears his throat. “No, please, it's all yours.”
“Sweet.” He plops down the dumb little cushion Barry gave him and sits. “So,” he crosses his legs and props his head up on his hand, “come here often?”
He puts his phone away and pulls his glove back on. “Every week. I come to watch my mother play.”
Taako quirks an eyebrow. “No offence, but. Why? You're a grown ass man. Don't you have literally anything else you could be doing?”
He laughs awkwardly. “Honestly? No. I pretty much just eat, sleep, and work. This gets me out of the house.” He seems to suddenly remember he's also talking to someone who's voluntarily come here to watch the exact same game. “Why are you here, If you have something better to do?”
He shrugs. “My sister asked me, and I'd be hard pressed to say no.” He straightens up and holds out his hand, “Taako.”
He takes it, “Kravitz.”
“Charmed.” The gloves feel like expensive leather. “So, Kravitz, explain something to me.”
“Sure?”
“What's up with the box on wheels?” He gestures to the ice, where said box on wheels is just driving off the ice.
Kravitz laughs, “the zamboni? It floods the ice, so it's smooth for whoever's coming on next.”
“That thing can fully reset the surface in, what, five minutes?”
“Pretty much, unless there's a pretty nasty gouge in it.”
“Wild.” The teams come out on the ice and start skating in circles around each half, split up by a foot-wide red line down the center. Taako leans over, “which one is yours?”
Kravitz laughs again. “My mom's lucky number 13 on the black team. You?”
“Well hey, Lup's 18 on that team.”
Realisation dawns on his face. “Oh, you're Lup's brother?”
Taako looks at him quizzically. “Took you that long? We have the same face.”
He gets sheepish, “I've maybe only actually seen her a few times, but I usually sit with Barry, so…”
“Well Barold's tied up on Sundays in academic hell for the next little while, so you're stuck with me.”
Kravitz's brow furrows, “I don't remember him saying anything about that?”
“Don't feel bad, I hardly remember a thing he says too.”
“No, it's just– he didn't say why he wasn't coming this week, but he loves talking about his research, so I would assume if it was because of that, he'd say something? He just told me he wasn't coming, and you were, and that–” he cuts himself off and clears his throat. “Yeah, weird, I dunno.”
“No, no. Finish that sentence. What did my dear brother in law say about me?”
“He just said that… he thought we would get along? And I'm self aware enough to know I'm not super socially adept, but he had a tone that I think he was insinuating… something?”
Taako hums, and looks Kravitz up and down. He looks out to the ice and sees number 18 standing with number 13. Lup holds out a gloved hand and does a “thumbs up? Thumbs down?” gesture. Taako ignores her and presses closer to Kravitz. For warmth. “I don't know much about hockey, so you'll have to teach me.”
Kravitz is silent for a moment, processing the sudden change of subject. “I'm sure I can handle that.”
The game starts shortly, and Taako gets far more into it than he expected.
“What the hell was that whistle for?!”
“They were offside,” Kravitz points to the ice, “the puck has to cross the blue line into the other team's end before any of our players can, and vice versa. Then if the puck leaves their end and comes back in, we have to get out past the blue line as fast as possible.”
Taako crosses his arms and slumps back. “That's bullshit.”
“You didn't seem to mind when it helped us out five minutes ago.”
He glares at him, and Kravitz laughs. Play resumes for a good few minutes, then the whistle blows again for apparently no reason. Taako barely has time to inhale before Kravitz says, “it's because they iced the puck.”
“Now you know I don't know what–” he scoffs, incredulous, “why the fuck are they starting in our end?!”
“Because they iced it. Someone from our team shot the puck from our side of the red line, and it went all the way down the ice and passed the goal line at the other end, and no one got close enough to keep the puck in play before it got there. So they bring it back to our end to start again.”
“Maybe the other team should just be faster and stop that then.”
“But they want to be in our end, so an icing helps them out.”
“I don't like this icing. I prefer buttercream.”
Kravitz's laugh practically echoes around the arena.
The game ends. A victory for Lup's team despite all of the, in Taako's eyes, stupid rules. Kravitz is getting up to leave and Taako says, “hey, Krav. Can I borrow your phone?”
“Uh, sure,” he hands it over, “here.”
Taako takes it and adds himself as a contact, then texts himself, “can I take you to dinner?” He turns it off and hands it back to Kravitz. “Thanks. I'll see you later.”
He leaves, and once he's out in the parking lot, he takes his own phone and responds to the text he sent himself, “sure thing, handsome. Mind if I pick?”
He gets in his car and his phone pings with two texts.
One is from Kravitz: “Absolutely you can pick, just let me know when and were. As we've established, my social calendar is wide open.”
The second is from Lup: “You're welcome.”

Meanwhile at the party, sp krupp has brought his world famous party salad. It's a pink colored casserole type dish with every type of candy imaginable, that it almost could rot your teeth instantly, which is why he put apple slices in it. He brought a lot of it, like a lot a lot of it and is sharing some of it lumberjack krupp, who he invited to the party. The music from dj manatee is playing a remix of barbie girl.
Sp krupp: hm? Where is everyone? I told them the party was starting in 20 minutes and now 24 minutes have pass.
Lumberjack krupp: I'm sure the others will show up strange crossed eye guy, so who's this gp guy you told me about?
Sp krupp: oh his great, a bit murder happy, but who isn't. He loves coral blue #2 lipstick and men, I'm sure his about walk through those doors with party hat ready and maybe even a big surprise to really light up the party! :3
🌙||꒷꒦︶🪵︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶🪵︶꒷꒦||🌙
Gp Krupp was overhearing the conversation between those two krupps. He rolled his eyes as he continue hiding himself behind the wall to avoid being caught.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He said as he tried to calm down, the music was giving him a headache. Gp then took a little peek again, glaring at them.
He always hated SP, he always hated his guts and hates everything about him with a burning passion. He really wanted to hurt him and rip him apart into piece, but was it really worth it?
Not really. Gp wasn't sure whether to step in and attack him and the other Krupp. He didn't understand what was causing him to feel weird even tho he doesn't believe in feelings or any sort of effect. His eyes softened a little as he continues to spy on them. For some odd reason, he couldn't stop keeping his eyes on SP, it was....confusing...
Tumblr media
Why does his heart race too fast everytime he's near or close to him (someone else)?
Why is it hard to be open about it? Is it bad?
Is it normal for a smart and sick murderer to develope a strange feeling towards someone he hates?
Is it okay to feel bad for him and try to apologize or end the beef?
Is it okay to be friends with him?
Is this even normal???
"Why is he starting to feeling bad for a crossed eyed person who wanted to have fun?"
Who knows! No one knows the answers to those questions. This of course made Gp more frustrated and confused, his face was flushing red as his mind was slowly getting fuzzy.
He immediately shaked his head.
"DON'T screw this up Ben! You can't let that crossed eyed moron beat you. Keep it together!!"
He said to himself as he glanced at the other direction. Luckily he wasn't the only one coming to the "party". Few people were entering the room without noticing Gp Krupp's existence which is a good sign that the plan will actually work.
He wasn't sure if it will work or not but he had to. He has to prove them wrong. He has to. Otherwise, he will end up failing if he gets distracted. Thinking of the plans he wasn't sure if it's easy to hide his weapon.
Some people were walking by and calling it a confetti cannon as a joke, making GP pissed off but he liked the idea, knowing people were dumb enough to realize it was a dangerous weapon and not some sort of cannon with confetti.

So he finally entered the room with his weapon, avoiding any eye contact with anyone around him. It was hard to walk in because of the manatees were all over the ground but he was starting to get used to it back where I was saying; he entered the room. Trying to avoid the awkwardness, mostly trying hard not to look at SP or any Krupp involved in the party, ready to start his mission.
